About this deal

The main issue with using a hot tub during the winter months is that they are not designed to be used or stored in less than 4 degrees centigrade (40f). Here in the UK, temperatures drop far below that during winter and spring, making it unlikely that you are able to enjoy your hot tub.

This pioneering hot tub technology means that a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub can be safely used all year round and allows you to keep your hot tub out in winter even if you’re not using it frequently. Freeze Shield automatically detects when the temperature drops below 6°C and then switches on to heat your water up to 10°C. It means you don’t need to have a constant heat source in your water and is therefore the most energy-efficient way of keeping your Lay-Z-Spa out in winter. Duraplus™ Material Don’t leave a lazy spa outside when it might reach temperatures below 4˚C. This could cause damage to the motor and heater/blower unit which is a very expensive repair if it can be repaired at all. Is it OK to leave a hot tub empty in the winter? This luxurious hot tub requires no tools or professional installation meaning your spa can be set up and ready to fill in just ten minutes. Made from durable stress-tested DuraPlus internal beams and outer walls, this inflatable spa offers superior structural stability and cushioned comfort no matter how many times it is inflated and deflated. Your Lay-Z-Spa doesn't come with chemicals, but it has a ChemConnect dispenser for sanitiser tablets, to remove the need for floating dispensers. You can find chlorine tablets and bromine tablets easily. To get all the chemicals you need to use your tub, go for a chemical starter kit. Top tip: Pumps with Wifi can be scheduled using the Lay-Z-Spa App. This gives you the freedom of being able to set your temperature even if you're not home. Again, this means you don't have to leave your heater on all the time. 8. Use Your Lay-Z-Spa During Warmer WeatherIts suede look blends with the cover so that when being protected it still looks the part. EnergySense™ insulated outer and top cover provide 40% more energy efficiency than other inflatable hot tubs and its soothing 120 AirJet™ massage system and 40°C water offer the ultimate year‑round home spa experience. Storing a moist hot tub is asking for mould. Make sure all the water is completely drained out and go over it with a dry cloth before folding away. Step 7. Deflate the Lay-Z-Spa Remove the filter housing and replace the stopper plugs provided. Now take the filter out (if it is still in good condition, then clean and store safely). Step 3. Disconnect the Pump

As soon as you take the lid off this hot tub to get in, the temperature will drop quite rapidly. The same goes for when you turn off the heating. Whilst testing, we turned its heat off at around 11.30pm, when it was 35˚C. By 8am the next morning it had dropped by 7˚C, to 28˚C. The energy-efficient Lay-Z-Spa Zurich AirJet™ is an ideal size for a couple or small family but doesn't compromise on relaxation. It doesn't require much space in the garden and its aesthetically pleasing suede look fits in with most garden designs. 120 AirJet Massage SystemAt the touch of a button, the Zurich AirJet™ will have you surrounded by thousands of tiny therapeutic bubbles. There are 120 powerful AirJets™ around the outer circumference of the base. EnergySense™ Insulated Cover

Even if the inflatable hot tub is turned off and empty, your hot tub should not be left outside in the winter. Besides possible motor issues, the harsher weather conditions may cause wear and tear of the vinyl and other fixtures. Is it OK to store a hot tub on its side? Instead, we make sure to switch on our hot tub a day before we hope to use it and switch it on to heat and filter. Usually, over the summer, it has sat at a constant temperature of around 19˚C to 22˚C, so it only takes a minimal amount of time to get to a hot temperature. Setting up your Lay-Z-Spa in an area with a windbreak or in a sheltered area helps to prevent wind chill. Wind exposure can rapidly reduce water temperature both when using it and when not using it. Something as simple as placing your hot tub next to a fence can form an effective shield against the wind. Bear in mind that in winter the temperature of the hot tub will be a lot lower. We tested ours in the summer so can't comment on this (yet). It will naturally take a lot longer to get warm in the winter, though lower temperatures will obviously feel hotter, so you might not have to heat it all the way to 40˚C, but instead 36˚C or 37˚C. Once drained, take out any fixtures and fittings still attached and place them to one side for cleaning. (clean with soapy water and then dry completely with a soft cloth). Step 5. Thoroughly Clean and Rinse

Inside the hot tub, there is a floor which looks like your classic white and blue tiled pool floor. The walls feature EnergySense™ insulation to make it heat faster and retain heat well, too. Cleaning and maintaining the Lay-Z-Spa Zurich The AirJet™ and HydroJet™ massage system understandably require energy to run and can contribute to some heat loss in the water. If you're really keen on reducing your hot tub running costs and keeping them as low as possible, consider cutting down the amount of time you have the massage system on and enjoy relaxing 40°C water instead.

The lay z spa zurich has an integrated EnergySense™ outer and top cover that helps speed up heating and reduces heat loss, making it 40% more energy efficient when compared to similar inflatable hot tubs. Available on selected Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs, this function offers up to 50% reduced energy consumption when using the massage system. This gives control over the amount of energy being used to power the massage system without a noticeable difference in the intensity of the AirJets. You can relax in a cloud of bubbles knowing you're using less energy. Hot Tub Energy-Saving With A Thermal CoverThe Zurich AirJet™ is our newest energy-efficient Lay-Z-Spa with a specially designed insulating outer cover that helps retain heat and saves on energy costs. It has a nice compact size which is ideal for small spaces and is the perfect hot tub for enjoying a spa experience all year round. [su_youtube url="https://youtu.be/tB2mzk0qq3I" width="300" height="265" responsive="yes" autoplay="no" mute="no" title="" class=""] Comfortably fits up to 6 people To come up to temperature, the hot tub will vary in time depending on the volume of water inside it. We never suggest filling it too much, otherwise, you'll end up heating water that will be spilled on the floor once warm. We recommend putting enough water in it so that it's just under the line. The Zurich AirJet™ is all about energy efficiency and comfort. Its elegant suede‑look EnergySense™ insulated outer and top cover provide 40% more energy efficiency than other inflatable hot tubs and its soothing 120 AirJet™ massage system and 40°C water offer the ultimate year‑round home spa experience.
