it starts off the kind of weird you can easily see in people you'd know in real life and devolves into a kind of weird that I can't tell if it was syfy or psychosis. Morgan's narrative develops a darkly spiraling pace, simultaneously exposing and blurring the distinction between fantasy and reality. While they may have once helped with a few practical and timeless guidelines (shout-out to journaling for being the MVP of my mental health), there is never a single way to become the best version of yourself.At the top, the most idealized and manicured version of herself is her online presence, which is tailored to demonstrate her identity in a very specific way: images of her travels, hobbies, and friends. I am definitely looking forward to reading other people’s reviews about this, and seeing what they made of it. Indirectly, Remy’s desire and the magnitude of his “fate” have truly actualized this monster, which destroys his apartment and the two people in his life who have been genuine friends to him, Jake and Carla. Okay, perhaps I’m exaggerating, but I ADORE the particular plot points and symbols she worked into the horror story to make grander speculations about the world as a whole. Imagine their confused excitement when they run into Jen, in the flesh, and she invites them on a surfing trip to the Hamptons with her wealthy boyfriend and their group.

I know a lot of people have also been seeking modern horror authors who aren't Stephen King and this title has 💯 earned a spot on my Goodreads shelf of the same name which I'll share here.I snatched this up instantly upon seeing the cover and the blurb indicating a literal monster would be unleashed.
