Jake was my best friend and his passing leaves a hole in my heart I doubt I’ll ever fill. No one knew me like him and I could guarantee when we got together we were going to have such a good time. If I’m feeling this upset I can’t imagine how much you are hurting. If there’s anything I can do to help please don’t hesitate to call.

There are no words for how much I miss you dad. I will remember all our times together with such happiness If you’re having trouble with starting your condolence book message then these examples should help inspire you how to start it.Losing a loved one is devastating so if you need a friendly ear to listen or someone to talk to then I am always here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. Fluctuating between the present, 1791 and 1857, the novel tells the stories of Gaelle, Abigail and Margot. The book is divided into parts: early years and the survival years. After so much pain and sorrow she's had to get a job and watch her brother in law go to war. The same applies to the characters. We spent enough time with Winter and Mother Abigail for me to understand who they were and get invested in their goals. I did not feel the same for Gaelle, largely because I just didn’t get enough time with her.

I enjoyed the beginning of this, Margot and her story in particular. I loved seeing the lives of these women intertwine. I loved Jen like she was my sister. We were the closest of friends and my heart is broken she is gone. I will remember those truly special times we shared and how much joy she brought to my life. Words won’t ever be able to describe how much I will miss her. To the memory of a man so beloved and special, one who made us happier than we thought we could ever be – our dad. Rest in heaven papaJustin meant the world to me and his death is so upsetting. It only feels like yesterday we were raising hell as kids and enjoying ourselves. He was a huge part of my life and I am heartbroken I won’t get to spend anymore time with him. May he be remembered for the amazing man he was. Your mom was the kindest, most generous person you could ever hope to meet. I can’t imagine how hard this must be but if you need anyone to talk to I’m always here. Your memory and all you did for us will be a shining light to everyone who knew you, mom. We were blessed beyond words to have had you as a part of our lives It was an intricate thread that weaved through time, connecting these four gifted women; who had each been touched by the cruelty of the world (read slavery, natural disaster, social discrimination) and endured loss, whether it was loss of children, home, grandmother, mother. This was a story of vulnerable yet powerful women, who refused to stop fighting for themselves and those they loved. Well worth the read. In memory of Sue, who’s amazing spirit and love of life touched us all. There will never be another like her.

I also had an issue with slight touches of colorism in this book. Honestly, if you’re not well versed in the topic, you would easily miss it. And given that several of the characters in the story were of creole ancestry, it would make sense that most of the characters were of a lighter hue. However, in this book, all of the female characters who were considered attractive or desired were light and all of the men of that type were dark. Full stop for me. However, as time would have it, something is happening to and around Remembrance. It is up to the people of Remembrance to decide whether to protect what is theirs or live a life in the shadows fearing recapture. Once the stories are lovingly gathered and submitted, StoryKeeper takes over, weaving them into a poignant narrative. The result? A beautifully bound Memorial Keepsake, a tangible tribute that encapsulates the essence of the life being celebrated. Alternatively, for those who prefer a digital approach, we offer the creation of an online condolence book – a virtual space for friends and family to come together in remembrance.
