I know some readers chafe at the whole heroine-with-low-self-esteem thing but when it’s done right I find it totally relatable. I had so much fun reading The Enemy, but I did not expect to snort up water while reading The Off Limits Rule, but maybe it should be understood that Sarah is going to deliver a hilarious book no matter what. It seems like the ending leads us into the sequel, in which Lucy's friend Jessie needs a fake fiancé and Lucy's older brother Drew steps in to help.I’m guessing it has something to do with that paragraph-long text she sent me—the one I’ve literally read thirty times because it’s so freaking cute I can’t stand it. I'll likely read the next book because I'm curious about their story, but it's not high on my priority list. The author way of developing the characters is very impressive and her characters are well drawn and compelling. She was the opposite and just downright annoying, especially when you remember that she is again, a grown adult.
