I bought this in HMV London the day it came out only to get home and find both discs covered in what literally looked like sticky fingerprints. On this pressing, I feel there is nothing lacking: sounds of the instruments are separated, I hear organ, strings, piano, vocals, individual guitars, lots of bass punch as well as cymbal treble, a feeling of space in the reverberation, probably true to the master recording.

I could say that the album opens with their definitive (though not greatest) song in "Brown Sugar," but I would be overlooking one thing: the fact that the album actually opens with a zipper.For their first full-length effort on the upstart Rolling Stones Records, the group decided to show just how versatile they were. Everything seems to gel so great from Mick Taylor's astounding guitar work to Mick Jagger at his peak as a vocalist.

Treble is a little bright which means the brass and acoustic guitars sound really good but the bass is quite hidden .It will be debated until the end of time (or at least people giving a damn about rock and roll) which artists had the most impressive uninterrupted runs.
