Regardless every single poem to me was a skipper except one and even that one would have bin kid in an actually good poetry collection. It's always hard to comment on the works of women and more so lesbian being a straight man, however, I connect on the poetic level and I appreciate the author's journey through words. Through the art of poetry, the author aims to raise awareness and educate readers about love and acceptance of LGBT people. First work of poetry I’ve read - and the poems in this were so cute and a beautiful display of vulnerability and love. so the girl spent the summer working on herself and exploring her sexuality…and then the friend confessed her love to the girl and then they took a chance on ruining their friendship to experience (potentially) what their love story could feel like.

I could identify to this because it was about friends falling out of love with each other and then finding each other again. this book walks you through my personal journey of falling in love with my best friend and embracing my queer identity. There are poems in this collection that discuss topics such as heartbreak, intimacy, and the relationships that we make with other people.what if you build a home and decorate the walls with flowers and poetry and all of my favorite things and then you leave? The words hold such weight that they’ll never be forgotten - and stay with you long after the page has turned. This feels and looks like it was written/drawn by a 10 year old with the sole purpose of filling a notebook up.

May have been 3-4 stars if you chopped the first half/two thirds of this book off and put some effort into the rest, it has promise but wasn’t ready for publishing and feels thrown together. After the first ten the motives started repeating themselves, I would have loved the author to have sat with their emotions for longer and actually make interesting observations. if you are lucky enough to feel love, even for just a single moment, it will stay with you forever: the feeling.This book tells the story of both my coming out as homosexual and my falling in love with my best friend, both of which happened during the same time period. my favorite part about this poetry book is that it can be read as a story but also read as separate pieces.
