For someone with mobility issues who normally uses silk sheets to slide on and off the bed the mat is hard going. Our 3-ply mat construction with POD-TEX™ technology has been designed to protect the bed from all sorts of fluids, making our mats the ideal bedwetting solution. We followed some of that and starting upping his fluid intake during the day (to make sure the bladder has lots of opportunity to exercise/stretch), not letting him drink past 5pm and making sure he does a wee before his shower and then tries for another immediately before bed has really really helped. This can be rectified by washing your PeapodMat with a cup of white vinegar and/or baking soda, with a thorough rinse. very pleased with this puchase and asmthe elderly person had dimensia its on upstairs bed and downstairs bed.

We don't recommend regular use of fabric softener, dryer sheets, dryer balls or regular use of vinegar or stain removers. We are already doing the second wee before bed one but I think I am going to have to start trying the others as this is unsustainable!
