About this deal

The ways in which children can interact with it and the visual stimulation it provides makes it the perfect book for story time at the end of the day. This book allows children to explore their own imaginations as it lets them question what the place between really is. Could you use a similar effect to publish a story of your own using a word processor or publishing software? All the children have created a fantastic story and everyone should be congratulated for their action-packed tales. Each pack carefully analyses the vocabulary used by authors, chapter by chapter, then provides an explanation of these unfamiliar or meaning-rich words in context.

He attempts to convince his rather cynical friends that magic is real, and it is revealed to the reader through various pictures, the detailed font and elaborate graphic detail.Landing (If time allows): Invite real-life circus acts into school to perform to the children or chn to create their own talent show. Children will recognise the enchanting styles of the famous names through their other titles such as Winter’s Child and FArTHER. Leon and his brothers and sister go to a magic show, but this is no ordinary show and Abdul Kazam is no ordinary magician. He finds himself being carried on a magic carpet into another world where, rather like Alice, he discovers a white rabbit, which he takes back to show his friends that anyone can find magic, as long as they believe in it.

With his beloved soft toy Lionheart at his side, Richard has the courage to confront his night-time fears. They have been continuing the story from the part where Leon enters the Abdul Kazam, the magician’s box. They have been thinking about different ways to start their sentences to hook the reader in as well as using adjectives and adverbs to create as much detail as possible. Which i personally loved because im all about kids being kids and holding onto the magic for as long as possible! I really enjoyed this book, and although it is not very long, I believe the graphics and illustrations more than compensate for this. The whole story creates a captivating atmosphere of enchantment, yet a small twinge of danger at the unknown.

By providing a contextual explanation rather than just a standard definition, we can better help children understand the stories we are sharing with them and widen their vocabulary. Using the structure of the original story, children will plan their own version of the story where their own character enters a magical world. Part of the magic of this book are the illustrations and you really have to see a copy to appreciate just how beautiful they are. I was SO EXCITED about this book, and its stunning collage illustrations, but then it turned into a "Look at the mystical Middle Eastern magician guy with a devious pointy mustache!Although the illustrations are a bit creepy and questionable at times, it really draws the children in and makes the story unique. It is about a young boy who visits the circus with his brother and sister, however they are not impressed with the acts and think that it is make believe. The words within the book literally come to life through the illustrations, for example near the beginning, the author describes the atmosphere in the circus, and “The lanterns went out. This book is a year 4-5 reccomended read and you can get really great duscussion out of the children.
