Suddenly your standard pencil is impractical and you’re left wondering how am I going to accurately mark through the hole? Having used a number of hole marking tools in the past there still isn't one that works in all situations but for most what I come across this does the job. So in short, if you have to make a long reach mark (for instance on a shower wall post bracket or through a 4x2 stud) then this is the pencil that does the job. I do love my tracer pencils and pen set and find it better than just a standard pencil as I have lost various pencil sharpeners.

The pencil is very stong, i was worried the lead would be week but its alot thincker than you expect. For example, if you’re fitting a piece of timber up against a plasterboard wall and you wanted to make a mark through the timber, your carpenter’s pencil would be impractical for this job. Bad point is that the lid does not fit on the back of it so you have to hunt around to find where you left it.

These are amazing for every type of marking and the built in sharpener means you can keep your marks accurate. The holster clipped to your pocket or collar makes it simple to pull out and replace to a safe place. The built in sharpener is a great touch and the hard plastic holster allows it to take knocks without breaking the lead. We also track your visits using Google and Facebook, along with serving personalised ads via AdRoll.I'd been aware of these since they were released, and to be honest I wasn't impressed with the idea of them, it seemed a bit of a gimmick to me. The added little sharpener on the belt clip is a great addition for sharpening the lead to a fine point, in addition I must add that the lead is quite soft so down require sharpening if you want a fine marking line, also when at full length be sure to mark slow and steady as the lead is fragile and can snap easily. Whether you’re looking to mark on wood, plastic, ceramics or metal, the Deep Hole Pencil is the perfect multipurpose tool. I received my Tracer today after listening to everyone raving about them and I must say, you can add me to the club !

I like how you can change the colour of the lead to an amber which comes out better on some surfaces. This marker is build to last, has a good feel to it, it is easy to use and change leads, also its got a sharpener build into a holster. The inbuilt sharpener is handy, and will always be better then the traditional stanley knife method!Markings are clear, cool little pouch that stays in your pocket, comes with a sharpener and works on every material I’ve tried to make markings on.
