MY THOUGHTS: Bauer has a way of sneaking up on you. She doesn't rely on twists and turns to keep the reader interested. She gets inside the heads and hearts of her characters to provide a rich, deep and often humorous viewpoint. Genscan was run with the A. thaliana parameter file for A. thaliana sequences and the human parameter file for the others. Genefinder and HMMGene were run with C. elegans parameters. Augustus was run with the "fly_singlestrand_partial.cfg" parameter file.
