LETSHUOER S12 Planar In-Ear Monitors Review | TechPowerUp

A nerdy guy with a passion for audio and gadgets, he likes to combine his DAC and his swiss knife. Even after more than 10 years of experience,

Clarity, layering and definition are above average while the bass is tight, fast and controlled with good timing. The upper midrange of the S12 is more highlighted and detailed compared to the lower midrange. Female vocals like Adel, Diana Krall or Edith Piaf are reproduced in a pretty lively, emotional and detailed way. The energetic upper midrange tuning creates a vivid and transparent overall midrange atmosphere, while only soprano voices can do sound a little bit sibilant and energy loaded from time to time when I do listen at higher volume levels. Well, I’m sure I need not emphasize that the S12 Pro utilize a custom 14.8mm planar magnetic driver.

LETSHUOER S12 Review – Compared to 7Hz Timeless - Audio Reviews

Despite the vents, i solation is actually above average, and these would make for a good commuting pair of IEMs. Comfort The midrange of the LetShuoer S12 Pro has a moderately warm tonality and is a tad smoother compared to the original S12, which seems to be a result of a fine adjustments in the upper midrange register. The level of clarity, airiness and detail retrieval is one of the highlights of the S12 Pro in the midrange area. The general midrange presentation can be described as pretty airy and transparent.Pros — Articulate bass and very good treble extension, great note definition and cohesion, superb resolution (!!!); very good build and fit; great cable; value. The monitors do have a very durable appearance and doesn’t show any remarkable gaps or burrs on the visible surface area.

Shuoer S12 and 7hz Timeless : r/headphones - Reddit Comparing the Shuoer S12 and 7hz Timeless : r/headphones - Reddit

The S12 Pros excel in its treble extension to my ears. The treble renders music with such openness but also very good resolution. What you get is shimmering, sparkle of minutia in your music, it just sounds great. As with the bass the treble stands out for the definition, naturalness, and decay of the notes. The Midrange of both IEM’s sound pretty transparent and lively, whatever you listen to vocals or to instruments. The midrange of the 7HZ Timeless sound a bit warmer in tonality compared to the LetShuoer S12 to my ears, while the difference of coloration is quite minimal. Vocals are a bit more forward and intimate when I do listen to the S12, while the Timeless sounds slightly recessed in direct comparison. The LetShuoer S12 has a pretty minimalistic industrial monitor design with a smooth surface that is made from durable & lightweight 5-Axis CNC Processed Aluminium Alloy material. The Letshuoer S12 Pro maintains the same custom 14.8mm planar driver found in its predecessor, the S12. This large-diaphragm driver is designed specifically for this IEM, providing detailed sound retrieval, punchy bass, and clear trebles. With a high sensitivity of 102db, the S12 Pro can be easily driven to volume, whether it’s connected to a cell phone or dongle DACs, ensuring optimal sound performance with most source/amps. Firstly, this is my second pair of IEMs that I own. I own the Moondrop Chus too. I will try my best to be technical with this review.

Isolation and sound leakage

Both IEM’s do offer a pretty similar soundstage atmosphere. Both the depth and the wideness of the stage are quite identical, since I couldn’t hear any remarkable difference. get harsh. This region is where we have brittleness from instruments like the Hi-Hats and Cymbals. This is also a

Overall Impressions: As you can probably tell from the frequency breakdown, the S12 is actually quite similar to the 7Hz Timeless. It offers a bit more warmth in the low and and brightness in the treble, while the mids are probably the closest between the three registers. For my personal taste, however, I find that the S12’s frequency tweaks and improved resolution tip it over the top and make it a more enjoyable listen overall. LETSHUOER also dabbles in cables and sources, such as the M5 and DT02, respectively. Technical Specifications

Great review bro! Was thinking if I should get the S12 or spend more for the Seekreal Dawn (Planar + BA) setup, wondering if it worth the extra money It is well contrasted and dynamic, impactful and weighty but it can sound a little hollow and a touch dry. The accessories are befitting of a mid-FI pair of IEMs, and everything is entirely usable out-of-the-box. Ear tips The foam tips even come with their own case! The sub-bass on the P1 MAX rolls a little earlier while the bass is leaner and drier sounding but with a touch of extra control and clarity compared to the S12 PRO which is fuller and weightier but more hollow and looser.
