Add the water – about ¼ of a cup. Remember there will still be juices that come out of the meat and the other liquids will thin out as they heat, so better to no add too much additional liquid aside from the ¼. I can not have a baked dinner without this roast meat gravy. It is so easy to make (though I have trouble with the ratios often), and tastes delicious. I have used this for years and it never fails. A jug, boiling water and a fork to stir, never had any lumps. The taste is really nice and there is never any left at the end of the roast. I love the tin, keeps the powder fresh and easy to open. These are regularly on special at Woolworths. I find Gravox roast meat gravy clumps. I find it has too much salt. I add pepper to it and some cream to add flavour. I sometimes also a chives to add taste.

I made this gravy last week and it was pure magic. I added a dash of soy sauce to darken my gravy and that changed the flavor profile. You can’t taste the soy sauce in it but it adds a beautiful layer of flavour to the gravy. This is definitely a keeper!! I like most of not all gravox gravy’s I think it is extra yummy though when you make a roast and follow the instructions using the pan juices.This is the only brand we use. We have tried other brands and it doesn’t have the same taste. It’s even the same brand the tin tastes so much better
