About this deal

Alternators Optimus Prime transforms into an accurate 1:24 scale Dodge Ram SRT-10. The vehicle mode features rubber tires, functional steering, opening hood, tail gate and doors with a detailed cabin interior. Several of the details of his robot mode body are based on the sculpt of the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure, but the head itself shares more similarities with the Powermaster mold. He is armed with a small pistol which transforms into his vehicle mode engine. Many of the pre-loaded animations assume Optimus is holding his gun in his right hand and/or that he is holding his axe in his left hand. The toy has no sensors to detect whether those accessories are in place, and the app does not consistently label which animations use accessories. It also does not label the many animations that might damage the toy if attempted while accessories are attached, but transforming converting him or punching the ground would be a bad idea. So don't activate any animations while the accessories are attached unless you're sure you know what will happen. Released in Japan by Sentinel as part of the 30th anniversary, Optimus Prime Pen is a well-articulated robot that folds into the shape of a rather chunky, but functional ballpoint pen. The tip of the pen is formed from his ion blaster, with the barrel acting as a cap. Rumor about the Classics lineup that turned out to be spot on aside from Voyager Soundwave and Deluxe Optimus Prime.

His original trailer is not included with the set; instead, he comes with a new deluxe-scaled trailer, not available with any other figure, based on the one towed by Prime in Dark of the Moon. The trailer is compatible with both figures, and sports 5mm post-holes that will hold (among many other things) G1 Prime's laser rifle and the MechTech weapon Movie Prime is armed with. The figure was personally designed by comic artist Don Figueroa, who created the original comic design in the first place, and his signature is left on the figure in the most literal way: the word "DON" can be seen sculpted into the barrel of his silver ion blaster. The paint on the handle of his ion blaster scuffs rather easily when placed into his hands. Nemesis Prime's Universe bio seems directly inspired by the Marvel UK " Two Megatrons!" storyline, which revealed that Straxus had rebuilt a " hapless trooper" into a Megatron clone, complete with copied brain patterns. Unlike Nemesis Prime, however, this clone became a repository for Straxus's consciousness after Straxus's botched attempt to invade the original Megatron's mind. Like the Kup reissue, he comes with both the original release's gun and a Targetmaster, in this case Barrelroller, a redeco of Recoil. The original-release rifle has been slightly retooled to fit in the wider fist-holes of the Targetmaster vesion of the mold. This Micro-Changer assortment was the last one to appear at Target, with later waves showing up only at Toys"R"Us or drug/discount stores.

If you had a choice between having the third party KBB MP10V (with trailer) or Earthrise/Kingdom Optimus Prime what would you choose and why?

This figure was redecoed and retooled into Generations Motorbreath and Transformers (2014) Ultra Magnus. Part of the Legend Commander Collection sold at Transformers Expo, "Convoy (Jodai)"— jodai (初代) meaning "first generation"—is a redeco of Robotmasters G1 Convoy. While most of the paint masks are identical to the original mold, other changes include replacing the translucent parts into clear blue plastic, and the panel-lining on the grill is stripped off. Unlike the first toy, he does not include a pair of swappable 3mm fists, his missile launcher, or his Calamity Defenser weapon. This figure was only available through Fun Publications' Subscription Service 5.0 and shipped together with Double Pretender Megatron. Accessories: Missile launching cannon, missile, sword, shield, bladed shield, electronic left forearm, bladed left fist, torso armor, left & right winged "launchers", left & right armor bootsClassics Optimus Prime was initially intended to be Deluxe-sized. An alleged list of the tentative Classics line-up [24] included a Deluxe-sized Optimus Prime without a trailer and a version with a trailer at the Voyager price point; however, it appears the decision was eventually made to upscale Optimus to Voyager size instead. [25] Don Figueroa's control drawings for the Deluxe version were leaked before the Classics line was even released at retail. [26] A gray model prototype was later shown as part of an interview with TakaraTomy's staff in Transformers Generations 2009 vol. 1. [27] It's unclear whether the trailer ever made it past the early planning stage before the size of the figure was changed. He is marketed as a Data Clerk, even though he was a cop in "Chaos Theory", with the design team noting that they took partial inspiration from the Aligned continuity. Originally a KB Toys exclusive, the first release of this toy (and the others in the assortment) did not have any sub-line designation at all, but later releases for other chains, most notably "budget" chains like Family Dollar, marked them as Universe product.

Generations Selects Star Convoy is a retool of the Power of the Primes Leader Class mold, featuring new lower legs, head, upper shoulders, and waist parts for both the armor and inner robot, and a new torso for the latter. The Optimus Prime inner robot is remolded to resemble his Generation 1 toy, complete with toy-accurate yellow eyes. Most of the armor's grey parts (especially the evolution armor's arms) are now remolded in red plastic to be more accurate to Star Convoy's character model, though there are a few sacrifices leaving some of the red patches on the trailer. Takara reissued the toy once again in 2003, as part of their The Transformers Collection line of reissues, numbered 00 and featuring additional accessories such as an energon axe; Known designers: Evan Brooks (Hasbro), Takio Ejima and Takashi Kunihiro (TakaraTomy), Lenny Panzica (initial concept) [10] At some point Ultra Magnus staged a coup. It ended unsuccessfully, with Optimus ripping off Magnus's face and imprisoning him on Paradron. InvasionFortress Maximus's instructions depict him as part of the Cybertron City combination. Meanwhile, the "Siege on Cybertron" instructions show him as a part of the Nemesis Command combination, albeit mislabeled as Autobot Blaster. Most notably in terms of new tooling, the panels on the undersides of Powermaster Optimus Prime's forearms feature slots under the fists, which allow the guns to tab in and be held much more stably than with Ultra Magnus. And due to the amount of empty space in the cab area in vehicle mode, Powermaster Prime can fully transform without the need to remove his head. Surely one of the strangest examples of licensed Transformers products, Sports Label Convoy transforms into a shoe. Something of a shellformer, this baffling incarnation of Prime is colored primarily white and red in his alt mode of a realistic-looking (if notably undersized) Nike Free 7.0 sneaker, complete with gratuitously long real fabric shoelaces. In robot mode, he is made instantly recognizable by his incorporation of some additional blue and silver in predictable areas, and a traditionally Prime-styled head. Less traditionally, and somewhat perversely, Prime's feet are sculpted in the likeness of his own sneaker mode, making it seem like he's wearing himself! It took two further years, but this figure was eventually released as part of the Japanese counterpart to the Alternators line ( Binaltech) in 2008. Binaltech Convoy features some additional paint details, like his silver pelvis, additional patterns on his shoulders, and red paint on his engine-gun, and like all Binaltech figures, he also includes die-cast metal pieces. Unlike previous Binaltech releases, a bio-card was not included. While Hasbro and TakaraTomy's releases of the toy are almost identical, the battle damage paint apps on the latter's shoulders and legs are slightly altered in size. [4] Though designated for release in the first quarter of 2019, Optimus's wave reached U.S. store shelves in late 2018.
