About this deal

Again, the content is really great and there’s a lot of zest in the writing. However, it may be a bit overbearing for some. Hey, if nothing else, you at least can just read the recipes and call it a day with this book. 5. The Original VW Camper Cookbook

New Camp Cookbook: Gourmet Grub for Campers, Road The New Camp Cookbook: Gourmet Grub for Campers, Road

Bringing a Dutch oven on camping trips totally changed my life (my camping life, that is). There are so many recipes that you can do when you have a Dutch oven – like fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, stew and more.

One of the pioneering people to choose van living is Foster Huntington, who actually created the vanlife hashtag as he diaried his adventures living in a van whilst driving across America. Each story follows a different type of traveller, but all have one thing in common – they don’t want to live an ordinary life. Now I make chilli from entirely dried ingredients and pair it with homemade garlic bread. I make shepherd’s pie with creamy mashed potatoes and rehydrated peas and carrots. I can do oatmeal a dozen different ways. So if you’re wondering whether it’s worth it to get your own camping cook book, the short answer is Yes. Yes, it is worth it. Six Of The Best Camper Van Cook Books - The Campervana

After ditching her life in the rat race, Mary Hollendoner and her husband and six year-old daughter travelled 30,000 miles from the USA West Coast to South America in a camper van. She reminisces about how the stress of her office life kept her away from her family and really enjoying life. We primarily camp with our pop up trailer currently & I feel like I’ve fallen into such a rut of basic brats/burgers/blah. So the first section of this book was amazing & full of fresh inspiration! The Campout Cookbook: Inspired Recipes for Cooking Around the Fire and Under the Stars By Marnie Hanel and Jen Stevenson Take the Slow Road England and Wales: Inspirational Journeys Round England and Wales by Camper Van and Motorhome

From what it’s like to own and live in a camper van day to day, from cooking and sleeping in your camper, to keeping your van going, it’s all here. The book contains lessons on how to hunt and forage (though it should be noted that it’s just an overview and suitable for beginners – advanced bushcrafters won’t find this section comprehensive enough).

Camper Cookbook: Over 40 simple recipes to enjoy The Clever Camper Cookbook: Over 40 simple recipes to enjoy

One of the biggest draws to vanlife is the ability to live anywhere you want. Imagine waking up, deciding you’re tired of a place and moving with all your belongings and it’s as easy as walking to the corner shop. Having spent months exploring the world in our trusty VW camper, we’re experts at putting together incredible food equipped with just a two-burner camping stove and a tiny fridge or cool box. The Clever Camper Cookbook features over 20 of the best recipes we came up with on our travels―there’s no fuss, nothing too fancy, just deliciously simple cooking.El libro tiene recetas muy prácticas y otras recomendaciones para hacer tu campamento un lugar mas placentero. Es ideal seguir esta guía aunque se trate de un día de campo con la familia. One thing we’ll say is you might just want to buy this book used as it’s kind of expensive brand-new. Anyway, off that topic, this features a collection of over 80 dishes and for the purposes of a vanlife cookbook, the dishes are designed to be prepared in many different rustic settings. Yet another vanlife cookbook that is more or less a cookbook for campers, this one gears more toward simple and easy recipes. This will be right up the alley for vanlife, and the author uses her love of camping and many years of writing to create a cookbook ideal for the entire family. One of the most inspiring books about vanlife is Trevor DeRuise’s Project VanLife. In this insightful book, he writes about how to step outside your comfort zone and live a life chasing your dreams. DeRuise is a 22-year-old professional mountain bike racer, so as you can imagine, he’s not someone who’s afraid to take a risk. However, if you’re more of a wilderness camper or don’t like recipes with lots of steps and many ingredients, you will not like this book. I personally don’t use this book because the recipes just don’t apply to my style of camping.
