About this deal

Picard: The Final Season Q&A (42 minutes) – This is the Paramount+ Emmy FYC (For Your Consideration) panel hosted by Scott Mantz that was recorded in Los Angeles in April just after the theatrical showing of the finale of season three.

Follow-Up: How To Get Replacement Discs For ‘Star Trek

Some of you will recall that we recently mentioned that Mill Creek is releasing The Event: The Complete Series on Blu-ray on 6/6. Well, Universal is also releasing La Brea: The Complete Second Season on Blu-ray that same day.

Star Trek: Picard – The Final Season will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD this September 5 — that’s the week of Star Trek Day, of course — with all 10 episodes of the show’s third year collected onto three discs, along with several bonus features that will illustrate what went into bringing season 3 to life. MANY thanks, Matt! I didn’t notice that and I appreciate the clarification. Blu-Ray quality is better of course but I like having DVDs that I can easily play on a computer or laptop. At the time, it was really the only place you could get into the nitty-gritty of what the production team and actors were thinking in bringing each particular season of the franchise to life. Now, however, with the proliferation of social media, iPhone videos and after-shows like The Ready Room with Wil Wheaton, the behind-the-scenes photos, graphics and stories permeating the internet have honestly made it difficult for the on-disc “extras” to provide any knowledge you haven’t already heard before — especially if you are one of the people that truly loves this type of behind-the-scenes content. Amanda Plummer discusses taking on the role of Vadic. (Paramount Home Entertainment) Fans have been receiving their Star Trek: Picard – The Final Season disc sets and noticing that one of the visual effects shots is different than they remembered seeing on Paramount+. This has been the cause of some discussion and speculation but we have the real story. Different Flybys

PICARD Season 3 on Blu-ray Review — STAR TREK: PICARD Season 3 on Blu-ray

Deanna jumps into the conn seat, and Geordi says that Deanna has flown the Enterprise “exactly twice, and you crashed it both times.” Deanna retorts “Yeah well, third time’s the charm.” Widely considered to be among the best seasons of Star Trek since the franchise returned to television in 2017 — and perhaps among the franchise’s best ever — the new Star Trek: Picard — Season 3 Blu-ray set is also the best of the series’ disc releases… but maybe not for the reasons you would expect. That being said, it sure would be great if there was an Ultra HD Blu-ray release so we could have the benefit of the HDR grade. So many of the scenes are so dark, it noticeably helped to have it in HDR when streaming it on Paramount+. (And yes, while Picard was finished at “only” 2K, it would still behoove Paramount to release it on Ultra HD Blu-ray, there’s more detail and a higher color depth in a 2K professional master which can be utilized in a Ultra HD Blu-ray release with HDR.) While trying to figure out how to activate Daystrom Android M510, Riker asks Worf about what happened to him, since he’s such a changed person. Worf says he has hunted Changelings for decades. He hunted Changelings ruthlessly until one day he killed a woman, who he thought was a Changeling, but he was wrong. To make up for his transgression, he swore to temper himself. There’s one more bit of fun behind-the-scenes footage buried in the Season 3 collection, and that’s “One More Hand” (6:02) — an extended recording of the Ten Forward poker game that closed out “The Last Generation.” Where to find the hidden “One More Hand” bonus feature. (Paramount Home Video)The commentaries are lively and showcase the easy chemistry the cast and Terry have with each other.
