The iPhone XR, like the XS and XS Max, has Apple's innovative dual-SIM system that uses one physical SIM and one virtual SIM. The phone supports all possible US carriers on the main SIM slot, including T-Mobile's new Band 71. Available space is less and varies due to many factors. A standard configuration uses approximately 11GB to 14GB of space (including iOS and preinstalled apps) depending on the model and settings. Preinstalled apps use about 4GB, and you can delete these apps and restore them. Storage capacity subject to change based on software version and may vary by device. Apple typically fully supports iPhone processors in new versions of iOS for about four years after they're released, so your XR should be good to go until at least 2022. That said, if you plan to switch to an iPhone for the new 5G networks in 2021, the year-old iPhone 8 and X will also be fully supported until then. The coral shade sits somewhere between red and pink and is perhaps the most unusual of all the iPhone XR colors, just because it’s not a shade you see anything in very often. Having a single camera means that portrait mode isn't as well-developed as on the XS. Taking portraits with both cameras (alas, of people too shy to have their photos in a review), I found a big difference and a small one. The big difference is that the XS uses the 2x camera to take those portraits, resulting in a more tightly framed, headshot-like image at arm's length that is far more flattering. The smaller difference is that the XR's software has some problems with blurring out bits of hair that are behind other bits of hair, so when you zoom in, the silhouetting just isn't perfect. The iPhone XR uses the A12 Bionic chip found in the iPhone XS, while the iPhone 11's A13 Bionic is currently the fastest mobile chip the company makes.Considering the iPhone XR's precarious position between the more current iPhone 11 and the newly-revamped iPhone SE, there's a good chance it won't be available anywhere for too much longer.
