About this deal

If you’re using a long-term lens, wash it with a disinfectant solution and place it inside your lens case that has beenfreshly refilled with solution. Mind your long nails. If you have long nails, you should be extra careful when removing your lenses to avoid scratching the lens or your eye. Another technique is to slide the lens down to a corner of your eye, where you can easily remove it. Don’t reuse disposable lenses or use lenses longer than prescribed, as this can cause an increased risk of infection. Step 4. With your nondominant hand, hold open the lower and upper eyelid of your eye. It’s not necessary to use your nondominant hand to hold your eye open. However, it makes it easier to keep your dominant hand free for removing the lens.

Take your non-dominant hand and use your index finger to raise your upper eyelid away from your eye.

Obviously, your nails are sharper than your fingertips, making it far more likely you will scratch your lenses or your eyes. Plus, nailsprovide a great trap fordirt, grime, and bacteria, all of which could easily end up on your lenses. Step 4. Using your index fingers on each hand, pinch your top eyelid and bottom eyelid together to pop out the lens. With the pads of your index finger and thumb, gently squeeze the lens to pull it down and away from your eye. Don’t fold or pinch with more force than necessary. After thoroughly washing and drying your hands with a clean lint free towel, follow these simple steps: Place one index finger on your top eyelid and one index finger on the bottom eyelid. Push your lids together as if you are gently closing your eye. The hard lens should be lifted from your eye and pop out easily.

Starting with the same eye every time, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to gently pull down your lower eyelid, then pull up your upper eyelid to hold your eyelashes against your brow.Slide the lens to the white of your eye, especially if you're worried about discomfort. Pulling the lens toward your lower lid can also help lift it off the surface of your eye.
