Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressedThe Abus AirBreaker is a great helmet for road bikers that value high performance and have high demands. The helmet excels in aerodynamics, comfort, ventilation and safety. It’s for good reason that Valverde became world champion with this helmet! When the glasses were placed at the rear of the helmet, I wasn’t able to feel the legs of the sunglasses. This feature was a considerable improvement from the helmets I had in the past, where it felt annoying to have the legs of my sunglasses poking at my head. The AirBreaker is made in Italy and sells for 250€, in three sizes S, M & L. It comes in around 10 different standard color options (including this hi-vis neon yellow), plus special Movistar & World Champion stripe editions too. The US version doesn’t appear to be available just yet, but we expect it to make it stateside later this year. The ABUS Gamechanger is excellent for riding on the flats at a relatively faster pace. The aerodynamic benefit makes the Gamechanger a choice for marginal gains. Meanwhile, the ABUS Airbreaker, without question, is a well-ventilated helmet. With 11 air inlets and 3 air outlets connected with flow channels, you will certainly be guaranteed a cooling ride. ActiCage Lite: A structural reinforcement integrated into the EPS of many sports helmets. It provides maximum protection while ensuring optimal ventilation and extreme comfort. The Gamechanger helmet is beneficial if you spend a majority of your time on flat or rolling terrain such as in Singapore. If you are a racer, this will be one potent weapon. However, if you are just a casual weekend warrior and money is not an issue, I would suggest going for the ABUS AirBreaker instead. Ironproject2019: A Group Of Uni Students Are Celebrating Graduation By Racing The IRONMAN For A Cause - July 25, 2019Thanks to the honeycomb structure of the innovative Multi Speed design, the AirBreaker always offers the best possible aerodynamics and at the same time ensures optimum ventilation. Because the Multi Speed Design doses the ventilation as it is needed: Maximum ventilation on slow, mountainous stages and optimum aerodynamics on fast, flat stages. So Abus took the general shape of their aero road GameChanger helmet and started whittling away material to get more air inside. Many riders already say the GameChanger works well in hot weather as it has pretty good airflow through, plus your head is protected from the sun.
