About this deal

Excellent Bonding: Drygrip Adhesive is specifically formulated to adhere plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. When used in conjunction with Dryshield Cream, it delivers exceptional bonding strength. The Dryzone High Viscosity Applicator Gun with Dryzone Nozzle is a versatile tool compatible with both Dryzone DPC Cream and Drygrip Adhesive, providing flexibility and convenience in application. Key Features Apply a single coat of Dryshield Cream to the area that is intended to be replastered, using a brush or roller. The cream must be allowed to sink in to the wall for at least 30 minutes before moving on to step three.

The Dryzone Express Replastering System is the fast, clean and modern way to replaster a wall after the treatment of rising damp. The system utilises a salt inhibitor cream and a salt & damp resistant adhesive to adhere plasterboard to salt contaminated walls. The rods can be installed in warm or cold walls, requiring only a drill. Standard length (180mm) rods are inserted into 12mm holes at 120mm intervals along the mortar lines of a building. The guidance given in BS 5250:2011 “Code of practice for control of condensation in buildings” should be followed with particular reference to sections G.3.1.4 “Solid masonry wall – Internal insulation” and G.3.2.4 “Masonry wall with cavity – Internal insulation”: Designed for ease of application and the reduction of wastage, the rods are even more effective than the high-performance Dryzone and has been proven to out-perform competing products. The exact amount of active ingredient is contained within each rod ensuring full treatment, no mess and no waste every single time. Traditional Replastering plastic positioning plugs. They are used to set the air gap between the board and the wall before the Dryzone Adhesive cures. The coverage rate will vary depending upon the roughness and absorbency of the surface, use as a guide only. Appearance An effective salt inhibitor cream, for use on walls contaminated with salts, as a result of rising damp. It resists the formation of salts in, or at, the masonry surface, without the need for a sand:cement render and acts as a primer for Dryzone Salt & Damp Resistant Adhesive.

Dryshield makes the surface it is applied to hydrophobic and weakens the crystallisation strength of the salts within, or at, the masonry surface. The surface is left breathable, so water vapour can still escape the wall, which allows it to dry out, but salts are not able to build up on the surface and contaminate, or dislodge, any part of the plasterboard. How Dryshield is Applied DPC products. The machined tool is perfectly sized to fit the 12mm diameter holes that are drilled for Dryshield Cream may also act as a primer for Drygrip Adhesive. The adhesive has been developed for ‘dab’ fixing plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. It forms a strong and long-lasting bond and is resistant to both salts and damp. Drygrip Adhesive is applied directly to plasterboard, using a Dryzone High Viscosity Applicator Gun. The adhesive should be applied at regular spacings. The plasterboard is applied directly to a Dryshield treated wall, using positioning plugs to regulate the width of the air gap. The positioning plugs should only be used to adjust the positioning of the board, they do not take any of the structural load. the guillotine blade is safely stored within the body, which ensures the cutter is safe to transport. Dryzone System Hole Clearing ToolThe Dryzone System 12mm SDS Masonry Drill Bit is a high-quality drill bit, specially selected for the The sand and cement render, that is conventionally used to combat these salts, usually contains a salt retardant additive such as Renderguard Gold. This additive stops salts migrating from the affected wall and into the new plaster, which is applied on top of the render. The additive also provides additional waterproofing qualities to the render, helping to protect the new plaster from residual moisture in the wall. A rising damp and replastering treatment can now be completed in under 24 hours, using the Dryzone Replastering System. All the components of the system have been designed and formulated to create a long lasting and cost effective decorative surface. Components & Coverage Dryshield Cream:

The biards are solid to the wall but as my walls are uneven and the adhesive was so extensive I couldn't use as much as I'd have liked on each board. It did cost several hundreds of pounds to do the whole downstairs like this yes. Once a wall has been treated, it will begin to dry out but if the wall has been contaminated by groundwater salts then complications can arise. The most common complication occurs when the salts are hygroscopic, meaning that they attract and hold moisture from the surrounding area, leading to the appearance of damp patches, on an otherwise dry wall. Other issues that can arise include efflorescence forming at the plaster surface, causing decorative spoilage, and salts crystallising just underneath the plaster surface, causing it to crumble and blister. A salt and damp resistant adhesive glue for fixing plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. It is specifically formulated to work on walls treated with Dryzone Salt Inhibitor Cream. It is also effective as a general use adhesive. The concept that our laboratory team developed was, in effect, a variation on dot and dab plasterboard application. The idea being that, if plasterboard could be adhered to a wall in such a way that no salts could transfer to it from the wall, the plaster coat could be applied almost immediately.Once it has cured, a sand and cement render is a very hard surface, often harder than surfaces to which it is applied. Although this means that the render itself is very hard wearing, which is a useful quality, it also means that removing the render without damaging the wall beneath becomes very difficult. In historic buildings especially, the preservation of the original walls is always a major concern, for both the property owner and heritage surveyor. The Dryzone System High Viscosity Applicator Gun is specifically meant for use with Drygrip Adhesive. All choices regarding the type of system to use with any individual job, however, should be made with the advice of a professional. Certain jobs may be inappropriate for the Dryzone Express Replastering System, or for certain types of plasterboard. It is important to choose the correct materials and methods for each individual job. Replace the end cap and nozzle, trimming the end of the nozzle to give a minimum 10 mm diameter hole. In some cases the hole in the nozzle can be made larger to discharge more product during application. Offer the plasterboard up to the wall and tap into place, using Dryzone System Positioning Plugs and plastic Wedges to make sure that the board is touching neither the floor nor the wall. Apply all plasterboards in the same manner, until full desired coverage has been achieved.

Most modern properties are built with a damp-proof course, usually in the form of an impermeable plastic membrane, which is placed along a mortar line near the ground. Some properties, however, were built with no damp-proof course, or the original has failed, meaning that rising damp can occur and it is necessary to make remedial repairs. Dryzone to the Rescue We also have full video guideand step-by-step application instructionsfor a more full explanation of how to use the system. Why Choose the Dryzone Express Replastering System?

The Dryzone System Hole Clearing tool is a high-quality metal tool for clearing dust and debris from Available in 3 and 5 litre tubs – Coverage rate of 5 m 2 per litre – Brush or roller applied Drygrip Adhesive: Dryzone provided a cleaner, faster and more cost effective treatment for rising damp than fluid pressure injection systems, which were the previous industry standard. This innovation transformed the industry, making damp-proofing creams the default method of treatment. Safeguard’s Express Replastering System comprises a combination of materials to treat rising damp in approximately 24 hours. is ideal for cutting Dryrod DPC Rods to size.
