What Makes the TI-Nspire CX II Special? The TI-Nspire CX II and TI-Nspire CX II CAS are not the cheapest graphing calculators available today, but they are well worth the price, and I highly recommend them. The move to a color display from the original grayscale models was a huge upgrade, but that was about 8 years ago. The TI-Nspire CX II is the first major upgrade for the hardware in a long time. So what are the biggest updates that come with the TI-Nspire CX II? The TI-Nspire CX II CAS is NOT allowed on the ACT or PreACT. The limitations tend to be a little stricter with the CAS calculators, but the TI-Nspire CX II CAS is allowed on test run by the College Board, which include the SAT and AP tests.
