Jayden gives Kevin a solo mission to go find the elusive SwordfishZord before it disappears. Then, he and the remaining Rangers try to fight Yamiror, but they are defeated by the Nighlok's bad breath. Jayden tries to fight anyway and is nearly defeated until Kevin uses the Swordfish Disc to heal the Rangers and negate the Nighlok's stink power. Master Xandred: Master Xandred doesn't like Deker because of his human half. Master Xandred fought Deker for interfering with his plans to destroy the Red Samurai Ranger. Running into a wounded Dayu, Master Xandred schemes after she reminds him that she is half-human and absorbs her. He then faces the Samurai Rangers, while Lauren draws the sealing symbol. Despite his best effort to stop her, the symbol is completed and used but it doesn't manage to seal him as expected since Dayu's humanity has protected him from the symbol's power. No longer able to even dry out, Xandred plans his takeover of the human world and decimates the Power Rangers before leaving to amass his forces. When the Sanzu flood waters overflow due to the sudden influx of fear from his release, Xandred releases his army of Moogers to lay waste to Panorama City. When the effects disappear, the other Rangers are affected by amnesia, so Emily and Mentor Ji tell them that it was the toughest day ever. Broadsword: Following the revelation of Serrator's deception, he began using a large broadsword that was powerful enough to destroy a variant of the Quintuple Slash (which involved their personal weapons) with a single swing. When Deker died, Dayu planned to spread misery in the human world and cast aside all humanity that was left within her. She fought with Mia who broke her harmonium causing Master Xandred to return. After Xandred returned, he thanked Dayu for reviving him, but she stated that she played the harmonium for Deker. She further explained that she wasn't really a nighlok due to her heart remaining human. Reminded of that, Xandred absorbed Dayu to gain immunity from drying out and the Sealing Symbol, leaving only a kimono, which Xandred later threw in the Sanzu River in her memory. If Dayu was still alive in some form following her absorption, then she too was killed when the Samurai Rangers defeated Xandred, possibly allowing her to be reunited with Deker in the afterlife. Sanzu River Reliance (formerly): Despite his immense strength, Xandred cannot be be away from the Sanzu River for far too long like all other Nighloks or he will dry out. This weakness was eliminated when he assimilated Dayu and her humanity.

Energy Empowerment: Deker can charge up his new sword with blue-purple energy powerful enough to destroy Skarf with help from Dayu. Like Dayu, Deker's unique position as a Human/Nighlok allows him to leave the Netherworld whenever he wishes without needing to return to the Sanzu River like the other Nighloks and Master Xandred. As he is not a part of Master Xandred's group, the two are enemies. Xandred despises him for his half-human state and constant meddling in his plans to destroy the Samurai Rangers, once misunderstanding his intervention as "helping" the humans despite Deker's protests to otherwise. As a cursed man with an unquenchable desire to fight, Deker roamed the world for a worthy opponent to battle. Uramasa eventually leads him to Jayden, the Red Samurai Ranger. Lightning Beams: Serrator could project blue-hued/purple-hued/white-hued lightning beams from his hands or fingertips.Master Xandred was absent in " The Strange Case of the Munchies" because his Sentai counterpart was soaking in the Sanzu River and that took place before Serrator’s betrayal. Power: Serrator was an extremely powerful Nighlok who possessed a variety of abilities. Although Master Xandred is the one Nighlok who surpassed him in terms of power, Serrator was more skilled in battle. This was due to his skills and abilities greatly compensating for his strength deficit against Master Xandred and the fact Xandred relies heavily on brute strength to win. This event left Dayu angry and depressed with only her harmonium as a symbol of her happiness.
