The overarching story is portrayed as a sort of Cinderella scenario, but our Cinderella in this case I'm VERY curious about where this story will go next, especially in regards to the paranormal aspect! Thankfully the "arc"(?) wrapped up in a happy and powerful way because I really don't think my heart could have handled seeing Miyo experience any more pain. Kudo's softness in his actions towards her and the way he shows love really makes this story a beautiful one of healing. Or at least the beginning of a path that leads to healing! Miyo must endure being treated like a servant by her half-sister, who, in contrast to Miyo, is endowed with the extraordinary talents of their blood. At the same time, her stepmother and very own father have no patience or love for her. Talking about Kudou is talking about every shoujo ikemen ever, really. He was said to threat all of her bride candidates while being cold and intimidating to the point no one was able to stand him, but little after Miyo comes, poof, that thing that was said before? It is all gone, he researches about Miyo and becomes this cool and loving fianceé, that will do anything for her, he is also very rich and comes from an important household where he is the head of the family. He is also so incredible with his super natural abilities that he is hailed as the best, and it shows, this guy is basically the Avatar, master of the four elements, of course, I'm kinda exagerating there, but it is almost how it feels. There is no greater desire I have for Miyo than this quote spoken by another character. I SO deeply want to see her find happiness and CONTINUE to have happiness in her life. Miyo finds herself in the dream world of the Saimori residence. There, she confronts her other self. When Miyo's other self dissuades her, Miyo declares that she will not run away and promises that she will save Kiyoka. Soon after, using Kiyoka's kumihimo as her guide, Miyo manages to find him in an endless battle against the Grotesqueries. Elsewhere, the Emperor is informed of Miyo's attempt to rescue Kiyoka. When the Emperor tries to destroy Miyo and Kiyoka in the dream world, their combined power overwhelms and defeats him as the Grotesqueries are destroyed. After Miyo and Kiyoka are awake, Arata reassures her that she is still part of the Usuba family while Kiyoka tells him that they will have a rematch someday. The next day, Prince Takaihito reveals to General Ookaito that the Emperor is responsible for releasing the Grotesqueries while planning to have his father atone for his actions in the future. I will say though that what I have seen so far is very good, and a vast majority seem believable in their motivations and actions. It's written in a way where you are empathetic towards Miyo from the start, but it does not portray her in a way that makes her feel contrived or useless. Je déteste sa demi-sœur Kaya. This series got me more stressed about it the more I wrote about it, and I mean, this series is a pretty basic shoujo romance when you think about it, a shy girl that was mistreated by her family after losing her mother being rescued by an absolutely hot, tall, rich and perfect ikemen that will stop being the mean guy that he supposedly was and will protect her, treat her well, love her no matter what and solve her trauma with his looks, richness and, in this case, literal fire. Despite the problems of the show, the animation is beautiful, the series looks really gorgeous as you should expect from Kinema Citrus, the colors are so vivid and it is always clean, when the fights with super powers come it becomes really great to watch, it is pretty weird when I'm more interested in seeing the visuals of the opening than hearing the song, not like the song is bad mind you, so you will be seeing a very beautiful series in case you want to sit and watch it, if you can ignore the basic premise and glaring problems with the "wholesomeness" then go ahead, but this is basically Cinderella with Avatar's bending arts.
