About this deal

The headband has strong resistance which forces the ear cups inward. This creates a tight seal around my ears but there is constant pressure from the ear cups. The seal is so tight it makes the earcups hardly breathable, and after long sessions of gameplay, the ear cups get very humid.

The headphones are supported by a plastic mold with a safety belt that prevents the headphones from shuffling around. The headphones come out of the mold with ease and aren’t squished in. They are also covered with a plastic film to prevent scratching which is a must if plastic is used rather than foam for protection. I like the wireless capabilities of the HS70 headset, and they work well when seated and gaming. However, they consistently drop when I move away from the transmitter. Furthermore, the HS170 are only compatible with PC, PS4, and PS5, which is ideal for my setup but may not be for yours. Sound Quality Comparing sound quality on PC Logitech G Pro X When using the headset with your PC, as opposed to a PS4, there is extra functionality available by installing the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE). This is Corsair's software for customizing its peripherals, and for the HS70 options include turning on 7.1 surround, selecting and adjusting EQ profiles, tweaking mic volume and sidetone (which adds the sound from your mic into your headphones, assuming you don’t hate the sound of your voice), and it also shows the percentage of battery power remaining. The headband is very durable and shows great resistance when stretched out but is still bendable. The aluminum yolks that connect the headband with the ear cups are also top quality and I’m not worried about breaking them. On top of this, the hinges on the headband are metal which are of a quality that I haven’t found on other pairs of headphones. All the sounds are distinct and I can still hear the footsteps of players nearby, if perhaps less precisely. The HS70 does an excellent job of separating the lows, mids, and highs, and making each sound distinct from the others. The G Pro X is compatible with all devices, while the HS70 is only compatible with PC, Mac, and PlayStation. Overall, the HS70 Pro Wireless are a better option than the Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless. The HS70 Pro have better build, comfort, and sound quality. The only area the Void RGB Elite Wireless win is connectivity, which isn’t as important of a factor, as the HS70 Pro work fine if you don’t move too far away. Where to Buy

The outside of the ear cups are a metal grill that displays the Corsair logo. Around this grill is a plastic edging that doesn’t feel cheap, and almost has me questioning if it is metal as well.I’ve never awarded two headphones a tie for sound before, but both the G Pro X and the HS70 Pro Wireless provide an equal level of quality. You could argue the G Pro X are more aesthetically pleasing with the blue/gold color scheme, however, I feel the design and colors of both headphones are equally professional and attractive. Comfort Logitech G Pro X The G Pro X headband presses hard down on my head and could use more padding. This may be partially due to the aluminum band that makes up the headband. It’s so sturdy that it prevents the headband from completely molding over your head, instead only the center point of the headband rests directly on top. The HS70 Pro Wireless are the second set of Corsair headphones I have reviewed. Previously, I tested the Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless and was left unimpressed. It’s not often that I come across headphones with comparable – and impressive – build quality. Every G Pro X and HS70 Pro Wireless component is made of high-quality materials. No part feels flimsy or like it will break, and I’m sure you can put both of these headphones through the wringer before they will fail. Mic Quality Logitech G Pro X

Tie: [Logitech G Pro X & Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless] Sound Quality Verdict Close up look at the shape of each ear cup. Because the headband rests on one central point, it causes an ache in the area that takes all the pressure. Discomfort only occurred after long hours of use and didn’t persist after readjusting the headphones. Despite this, the headphones still don’t feel heavy on my head but they could create a better fit on my head. The Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless give a great initial impression. They follow the ordinary design for gaming headphones but pull it off better than most.

Should you use Corsair iCUE for the Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless?

The HS70 Pro Wireless are equipped with 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers and 7.1 surround sound. The sound can be adjusted with the iCUE software on PC, but I was content with the volume levels of the lows, mids, and highs and didn’t feel the need to adjust them. In game screenshot of CS:GO taken while using the HS70 Pro Wireless. PC The Logitech G Hub is only compatible with PC, making the mics effectively the same quality on console Connectivity Logitech G Pro X The most important factor is sound quality, and the HS70 Pro Wireless are the superior choice. I was surprised because both headsets offer very similar audio technical specifications with 50mm neodymium drivers and 7.1 surround sound. At the end of the day, the HS70 Pro Wireless were much more clear in sound direction, audio cues, and overall immersive experience. After I set everything up and turned it on, it just took a few seconds for the headset to be recognized by either my PC or PS4 (whichever the USB dongle was plugged into). On the PS4 I had to go in to the audio devices settings to change the output to headphones from only chat audio to all audio. When testing it using the "chat only" option for my PS4 I found the HS70 wasn't fully sound isolating, but they covered my ears enough that with game sounds coming from my home theater speakers I missed a good bit of detail, thereby not utilizing the headset to its full potential. Both headphones perform similarly on console. In fact, they’re nearly identical, resulting in a tie. Overall Winner
