About this deal

Presented by Julia Bradbury, Britain's Favourite 100 Walks will feature the best places across the country, with routes shortlisted right across the UK, reflecting some of the nation's most stunning scenery - and you have a chance to influence the final decision. Where is Snowdon? – Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales at over 1,000 metres high, is in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Route Highlights: From the Avebury stones, to the White Horse at Uffington you’ll encounter many of the ancient landmarks that contribute to a real sense of walking Britain’s oldest road. See Full Route > Unfortunately, some landowners have not granted access to the route, or walkers following it, and for about 20% of the Wales Coast Path the course diverts on to roads, some of which do not have a clear view of the sea. However, it should be pointed out that these are mainly quiet country lanes, so this should not see any walkers forced into heavy traffic to complete the route.

This one misses out just two summits in the range, but they happen to be Crib Goch and Lliwedd! This route starts in Caernarfon and ends in Penrhyndeudraeth, though those of a more modest constitution can start in Waunfawr or Llanberis and end the route in Nant Gwynant, Beddgelert or Rhyd Ddu. Starting off over the most pleasant grassy ridge of Moel Eilio and her minions, before slogging up the Ranger to Carnedd Ugain and Yr Wyddfa. Relief in the descent of the South Ridge before a final pull to bag yr Aran. Peaks ascended – 6. Left over – 2. The best thing about this is that the peaks left over are then ripe for the climbing by completing the classic Snowdon Horseshoe! 1 Snowdon Challenge 2 Carneddau from Conwy to Capel Route Highlights: The route from Housteads Roman fort to Steel Rigg holds some truly memorable views over the Northumberland countryside, with the iconic Sycamore Gap being a particular hotspot for photo opportunities. See Full Route > Good for – fabulous London sights of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, Tate Modern and Tower Bridge. 62 – Fife Coastal Path Where does the Thames Path run? – The source of the River Thames Kemble, in Gloucestershire, is the start point of the Thames Path, which runs 184 miles to the Thames Barrier at Charlton in London. Taking the top spot is Hevellyn in the Lake District, the highest point of the Hevellyn mountain range. It's no surprise that the majestic peak proved a hit; it's surrounded by picture-perfect green landscapes, plenty of lakes and trails to suit all levels of fitness.
