Varies with use and other factors. Up to 12 hours with continuous GPS. Get 24 hours of charge with 12 minutes of charging. Any questions requiring answers will be responded to both in text form on-screen, and in voice through the Versa 4’s speaker using voice synthesis. This is pretty neat, although the quality of the speaker is poor. It’s quiet and manages to distort very obviously even at this low volume, like the output of one of those musical birthday cards. However, there’s one area you have to appreciate in these superficially smart watches, like those of Garmin and, from a different angle, Huawei. They always get you much better battery life than an Apple Watch or WearOS watch. Currently, you can use the Fitbit Versa 4 to get notifications from your phone, and there’s a find-my-phone app (which I use all of the time). In the near future, there should be call support to take calls directly on the Versa 4 itself, or hang up or ignore phone calls, as well. Google Wallet and Google Maps The workout screen is very simple, primarily showing you one main metric at a time. Which metric you see can be adjusted with a press. This isn’t going to be great for someone who likes to see a wider range of running metrics at once, but again, Fitbits are more for someone who wants something simple and easy to follow. GPS accuracy

You’ll notice the Versa 4 / and Sense 2 are equipped with a button. Press this button to release the strap. The Health Metrics dashboard and the metrics displayed in the dashboard are not available in all countries. This feature is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition and should not be relied on for any medical purposes. It is intended to provide information that can help you manage your well-being. It is fairly simple, and Fitbit seems to have significantly reduced the lag of the Versa 3/Sense generation. This could be down to software improvements or new processor hardware, which—as usual—Fitbit hasn’t told us much about. Either way, it’s good news. There’s now just a slight pause when you open up “apps”. Likely that was Fitbit’s point: to further separate what simple devices Fitbit makes from the upcoming Pixel watch, which will use a lot of the Fitbit fitness and health functionality alongside being a full-on smartwatch. It’s a less high-end design than the Apple Watch SE 2, but is clearly more style-driven than the Venu 2 Sq, the closest Garmin alternative. There’s nothing much new and exciting to see here, but there is one key difference compared to the last Versa 3 model.Fitbit says the Versa 4 lasts “6+ days”. After wearing the watch consistently for just under two days, 44 hours to be exact, it had lost 29 percent. This is entirely in line with Fitbit’s claim, suggesting a charge will last just over six days. The Fitbit approach to exercise is also pretty light. For example, by default, the Versa 4 buzzes you with the vibration motor when you go from one heart rate zone into another, even if you’re out for a run rather than in a gym class. The runner’s watch standard is to show a performance update at each kilometer or mile, so the Versa 4 approach doesn’t provide that important sense of structure.

Without Premium, you can see the various sleep stages you go through each night, how long you slept, and variations in your blood oxygenation, but not your heart rate or “restlessness”. For example, when putting together the review for the FitbitSense 2, I was up pretty late and didn’t get much sleep. Fitbit gave me a score of 71 out of 100… and a readiness score of 68, which it says is excellent. I felt beat up and far from excellent. After 3.5 hours of sleep, I definitely did not feel like I had excellent readiness. Bluetooth and sync range On both sides of the smartwatch you’ll find a button. Use this button to detach the current watch strap. Its not necessary that you pull hard to detach the strap. Pull gently and make sure you press the button at the same time you’re pulling the watch strap.

How to change a Fitbit Charge strap

Fitbit likes to remind you of what you’re missing too, with frequent references to Premium in the Fitbit app. However, you can get on without it just fine. You still get access to Fitbit’s long-standing challenges, where your steps are pitted against those of friends or strangers. And you don’t necessarily need additional structure if you can get motivation from improvements in how long, or how fast, you can run. Stay on top of your fitness and get better results from your routine with Fitbit Versa 4 by Google. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer, a UL-certified USB wall charger, or another low-energy charging device. Are you the proud owner of a Fitbit smartwatch and want to switch up your wristband? Follow our step-by-step guide (with pictures) on how to change your Fitbit strap! What Fitbit smartwatch do I have? The Versa 4 runs on the latest version of Fitbit’s FitbitOS, which is compatible with Android phones and iPhones and my testing time was spent using it with the latter.

The detachable bands on Versa 4 come in a variety of colors and materials, sold separately. Charge your watch When you're done with setup, read through the guide to learn more about your new watch and then explore the Fitbit app. The newest Fitbit smartwatches, the Fitbit Versa 4 and the Fitbit Sense 2, have a way easier way to replace the wristband. Follow our step-by-step guide below. There are some significant downgrades to the Fitbit Versa 4 over the Versa 3, with many features having now been removed. I was bummed to see the removal of snore and noise detection. But the removal of Google Voice instead of Alexa is just straight-up bewildering. Missing third-party apps and music support We’re unlikely to see too much expansion in this area either as if these Fitbit “health” watches get too smart, they’ll compete too closely with Google’s WearOS bands. I have never been a fan of the “over-under” watch strap style the Fitbit Versa 4 uses, and the Apple Watch for that matter. However, it does reach the high comfort watermark that you occasionally forget you’re even wearing the watch at all. And that won’t end in catastrophe either, as 50m water resistance is more than enough to withstand a shower, or surface-level swimming. Most people should probably wait for the Pixel Watch. Or while you still can, get the Fitbit Versa 3, which still has all of the features that have now been removed. Note: This step-by-step guide is also applicable to the Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense. However, the wristbands for the Versa 3 and Sense are NOT compatible with the Versa 4 and Sense 2. How to change Fitbit Inspire strap
