Thank you to Bonnier UK Audio, Zaffre and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin at the bottom of his garden. He shares his concerns with Claire, but she believes Ed is being overcautious. A family tragedy from years earlier plus a bad breakup for Abbie with an old boyfriend has made Ed suspicious of everyone. Ryan, Claire pleads, is a great guy. He volunteers in the community and has a solid corporate job. He takes care of Abbie and is clearly interested in becoming a member of the family. Why can’t Ed see any of that? Seeing Ed's slow obsession really sets up the first half of the novel, his adamant that theres something not quite right with Ryan leads him into some awkward situations! When he shares his feeling to his wife she ignored by calling him as an overprotective father. He continued his investigation by himself to a time but when he come across lot more to dig he hand over the case to a secret agent .When he understand something secret over Ryan’s identity he is sharing again and it end up a clash with Claire .The setting was a stroke of genius, it most probably helped that I know the Peak District (Castleton holds happy memories) so I felt that I was walking alongside them at times. Executive producer Rachel Gesua added: “We’re over the moon to be bringing T.M. Logan’s edge of your seat domestic thriller to screen, which will take our audience on a rollercoaster ride of loyalties to our main character Ed, when his life begins to fall apart following the arrival of his daughter’s new boyfriend, Ryan. What is a father to do when he senses something is off about Ryan, his daughter’s fiancée? Everyone loves him, and thinks he's the perfect catch. But Ed knows better. His intuition tells him Ryan is dangerous. Should he act on it?

T.M. Logan's best yet. Fully delivers on its killer premise. Unsettling and so, so entertaining. The perfect thriller' Caz Frear Bestselling author TM Logan was a national newspaper journalist before turning to novel-writing full time. His thrillers have sold more than two million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 countries around the world including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, South Korea, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, Romania and the Netherlands. The extent of Ryan’s disturbing hunting behavior is also made clear in The Catch book ending. Prior to his demise, he explained in his narrative that he pre-dug graves on the moors and filled them with a lilo to keep the shape so they were ready for his victims. He also had night-vision goggles and drugs ready for use too and it was made clear that Abbie was part of his cover, not the end of his desire to carry on killing. How could Channel 5’s The Catch ending differ?Ed finally meets his daughter's boyfriend for the first time. Smart, successful and handsome, Ryan appears to be a real catch. Then Abbie announces their plan to get married. I was born in Berkshire and grew up in Reading, the youngest of three boys and a fully-fledged bookworm from a very young age. I read history at Westfield College, part of the University of London, and went on to do a postgrad at Cardiff University. THE CATCH, Tim’s thrillers have sold more than two million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 other countries including Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, South Korea, Romania and the Netherlands. When Abbey brings home her fiancé Ryan to introduce him to the family, everyone is completely enamoured with him. Ryan is thoughtful, charming, successful and Abbey is besotted with him. What’s not to like? But Abbey’s father, Ed, doesn’t warm to Ryan at all. Ed feels something about Ryan is off but he’s very much alone in that line of thinking. With Abbey and Ryan planning to get married in a month’s time, Ed has very little time to start digging into Ryan’s past if he wants to stop the wedding from happening. Is Ed paranoid? A massively overprotective dad? Or is Ryan really not what he seems to be?

Ryan is perfect, handsome, intelligent, debonair and even plays his guitar to the very ill at his local hospice in his spare time If you've been wondering - where was The Catch filmed? - you now know the answer. Though the Channel 5 drama isn't actually set in Ireland and neither is the book... The Catch show vs book location I'll admit, I was slightly terrified that it wouldn't match up to my expectations. The Holiday was and still is my no*1 read from last year and didn't think anything could match up BUT Oh My Days this was incredible. I am a great fan of T.M. Logan having read Lies, The Holiday and I was equally thrilled with The Catch. I loved everything about this book - the story-line, the characters and all of the many twists and turns. Abbey brings home her new fiancé Ryan to introduce him to the family, everyone immediately falls in love with the Charming, successful and handsome Ryan. Everyone that is, but Ed, Abbey’s Dad. Something about him just doesn’t seem right and Ed decides he needs to find out what that is before it’s too late when they get married in the next month:. However Ed is the only one that thinks that way. Is it all in his mind or is there really something fishy about him. He starts digging into Ryan’s past but what will he find out if anything and will it pull the family apart?

When Ed her father met Ryan’s eyes yes the suspense starts …… The characters in this novel are realistic and appealing - all have their flaws, vulnerabilities and likeable points. I found 'The Catch' to have an orginal plot (even in the world of thrillers!) and to be well-paced. Ultimately, we'll just have to wait and see as The Catch show lands how many of the same plot-threads start to emerge building to episode 4 or whether things do start to go in a different direction. We can't wait! How to watch The Catch In 'The Catch', Ed senses something dangerous about his soon-to-be son-in-law Ryan during their first meeting. His wife Claire and daughter Abbie won't hear of it as he's never approved of her exes. However, he's determined not to let her walk down the aisle, even if it means taking risks and going down the dark road..
