The 4K module is pretty much standard, and I don’t have much to say about that beyond that it gives comparable results to GoPro, so this review is focused on the 360 cam. Native 360 output However, you lose the sense of immediacy of shooting directly from the camera. While they both shoot at the same resolution and frame rate the X3 features two 1/2 inch sensors. The One RS 360 Mod is kitted out with sensors half the size of this, which means it can capture less light, colours & details. This is more capable than the first-gen version, but we’re not convinced how useful the 6K widescreen feature really is. Much more useful is the ability to record in great-looking 4K, which was always pin-sharp and ultra-smooth.

The new ONE RS Twin Edition’s most impressive feature is the ability to change the lens and transform a 4K wide lens camera into a 360º camera by just swapping the lens, the only action camera that has the ability to do this and makes the price worth it.The One RS with the 4K Boost Mod is closer to a GoPro in that it’s a dedicated action camera lens. You don’t get the same curvature and you can therefore utilise the full 4K resolution. The higher frame rate option also means you can shoot smoother action video or slow motion. Of course, the resolution boost won't mean much unless you have the hardware to actually view 8K media. But as always, the option to future-proof your footage is always appreciated, and the extra pixels open up more options for editing without noticeably compromising image clarity.
