About this deal

The tactile bump of the Azure Dragons is just a hair bit stronger and larger than that of the Zealios V1 Redux switches, though the biggest difference between them comes in the fact that the tactile bump starts towards the top of downstroke in the Azure Dragons rather than roughly a quarter of the way down in the Redux switches. In Holy Padna switches, this wobble is slightly more compared to Zealios V2 switches. So comparatively Zealios switches have an edge and positive factor to consider it.

Very close in tactility but Zv2 is bigger. The holy panda seems to have a more rounded bump. Much more similar to lubed Zv2. However, holy pandas seem to have a deeper more muted sound. With the shirking and improvement upon the Zealios V1 stigma of wobbly stems, the V1 Redux switches have noticeably less stem wobble in both directions than the TTC Blueish Whites. Gateron Azure Dragon I actually sent u/zealpc a holy panda a couple months into the development of the Zealio V2. Maybe it helped a bit, iunno. It seems he wanted to borrow some of the elements of the holy panda, yet keep it some elements (like smoothness, sound, and snappiness) very Zeal-like. The only thing really impacted in a lot of these cases is the tactility, barring smoothness and sound. The Zealio V1 Redux switches are a bit louder than the Tecsee Sapphire V2s in terms of overall volume. With respect to the type of sound, the Tecsee Sapphires though have much more of a contribution from scratch to the overall sound than the Zealios do.

Whoops!

Improvements: There’s more tactility, and the stem itself is smoother. The spring is much snappier than the old one, which was already starting to get quite snappy in its own right. Overall, the stem wobble in both the N/S and E/W directions is definitely noticeably better in the Zealios V1 Reduxes than the Zealios V2 switches, and the OG Zealios V1 switches for that matter. Scores and Statistics It’s not every day you get to review something as groundbreaking as this, and I’m already on Thanksgiving break and procrastinating on studying, so why not add a few more comparisons for the hell of it? Zealios V1 (62g.) A wonderful UK based operation which sells singles to switches that I’ve used above in my comparisons for collectors and the curious alike. Matt has gone out of his way to help me build out big parts of my collection, and buying something using this link supports him as well as my content! KeebCats UK The tactile bump of the Invyr Holy Panda is not only noticeably stronger than the Zealio V1 Redux switch, but also starts significantly earlier in the downstroke much like with the Gateron Azure Dragons.

The stem wobble on the Zealios V1 switches is ever so slightly worse than that of the C3 Kiwis, but compared across the entirety of the batch that I received for them, the Zealios have much less variability in stem wobble. You know the joy you get from popping bubble wrap? Everyone loves that feeling, right? It’s like that. The feeling is like popping bubble wrap repeatedly with no loud noise. Forget the bubble wrap, just get a keyboard with Zealios V2 switches! Smoothness This is even better of what was promised, it is MORE tactile than HP for sure and the rounded "feel" of the tactility is really similar to Holy panda (rounded and long, imho better and longer than HP). This is the silent version of the ever-popular Zealios V2. Just like its brother, the Zilents V2 is a damn good tactile switch. The Zealios and Zilents V2 share a lot of features, but you’ll find that the Zilents have slightly less tactility. This can be chalked up to the fact that it has a shorter travel.

This switch is truly amazing. Everything changed from V1. Everything.I feel like this switch does what the Holy Panda became famous for, but in a better way! Spring grind has always been pretty bad in ZealPC’s switches in general. This is just something that happens, unfortunately. I would recommend lubing at least the springs for any ZealPC switch. It is quite detrimental to the experience and even having nice clean sounding/feeling springs, as small a change as it is, can make a pretty big difference. These switches have much-advanced functionality as well as have reduced wobble which helps users to type with more comfortability.

Please note that PCB-mounted switches can still be used in many plate-mounted keyboards. As long as your PCB underneath has 2 extra holes next to the center post, it will support PCB Mounted switches and add extra rigidity to your build. If your PCB does not have the extra holes, then you can simply cut the small plastic legs off to make them Plate-Mount! They’re actually more tactile than the Zv2s, but the sound is garbage, roundness is non-existent, and they’re harsher than a breakup right before the holidays (pray4krelbit :( ). In terms of stem wobble, the Azure Dragons are ever so slightly more wobbly than that of the Zealios V1 Reduxes in both the N/S and E/W directions. OG Invyr Holy Panda Different and slightly inferior to Holy Panda imho for sound (panda has more of a THOCC), due the housing, but the difference is so small once lubed that i really don't mind using these over HP .Some might even prefer the sound of Zealio, this is a subjective thing, but whatever you prefer, the Zealio sound is a lot better now. The Glorious Holy Panda switches were revealed in 2020 to much fanfare. Glorious called these “the most tactile switches ever created”. While much of it is marketing hyperbole, you can’t deny that these are some of the best tactile switches out right now. What gives the Tealios its extremely smooth actuation is its stem legs, the stem itself appears to be made out of an outstandingly smooth plastic mould, and it shows in its construction where nowhere on the stem is rough to the touch. The legs are also angled perfectly to give the linear actuation of the stem a good balance between weight on the downpress and upstroke. Zilent V2 switches are the Silent yet tactile switches from Zeal PC. These switches are in 4 variants of 62g, 65g, 67g, and 78g bottom-out forces.
