About this deal

Smart interface: The smart interface is a remarkable feature that enables easy selection of different coffee types, creation of user profiles, and saving of your favourites. It provides a guided and fully customisable coffee experience. It has a very high-quality ceramic flat burr grinder which helps deliver super espresso. The detachable milk carafe is very convenient, though fairly standard these days, and the milk foam is of excellent quality. The same applies to the hope of being able to enjoy the Eletta’s cold cappuccino. To make sure it’s really cold, you have to add ice cubes to the cup and attach the “cold carafe” (white lid) before brewing. These aren’t as good as the cold drinks on the Jura Z10. But then, the Z10 is also nearly double the price and much superior in basically every way (read our full Jura Z10 review here). So, at this price, the cold drink options are a brilliant addition if you actually want them. I love it when I don’t have to say much about cleaning and descaling. I can bet you love it too! Anyway, the Eletta Explore has been designed to make cleaning and maintenance something you won’t have to dread.

At almost half the price of the Eletta Explore, the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige is an incredibly good value espresso machine. It’s ideal for people not looking for a lot of features and are happy to forgo the cold foam technology. With a selection of 12 coffees, including all the cafe favorites, and 4 user profiles, there’s still something for everyone. While the grinder has 13 settings, we recommend you start around the 5th finest. We generally end up going finer than this, but you don’t need to go to the finest possible setting to get a decent coffee from your Eletta Explore. As I already mentioned, the DeLonghi Eletta Explore features a huge 3.5 inch (8.9 centimeter) color touchscreen display. Either side of the display you’ll see soft touch buttons with pretty pictures. An easy-to-use touchscreen that also gives you reminders and suggestions to improve your coffee. Choose your drink from the vast array of options, change the settings, and save for later. Simple. 5. Four User ProfilesSo if you like the idea behind the super-automatic machines and hands-off coffee, but you don’t need the fancy milk system or smart grinder, but just need a simple espresso maker, then I would recommend DeLonghi Magnifica instead. But the real advantages of the DeLonghi Eletta Explorelie elsewhere: its personality encourages you to experiment, and the user interface is really well thought out. That means you can operate it comfortably without a smartphone. The Eletta Explore will offer strength and size customization from 4 size presets and 5 strength presets. You then have the option to save these settings to your profile. If it’s a milk-based drink you’ll get reminders to attach the correct milk system and adjust the dial on top. What’s more, the Eletta Explore is ideal for households with multiple coffee lovers. Everyone can have their own profile, and live in perfect harmony. Well, until you have to fight over whose turn it is to do the dishes of course! Brew Group Earlier in this DeLonghi Eletta Explore review I mentioned the fact that the Italians are clearly trying to take on the Swiss with this machine. Let’s take a closer look at how the Eletta Explore fares in comparison with the Z10 as well as a couple of other coffee makers. DeLonghi Eletta Explore vs Dinamica Plus

What you don’t get is the staggering choice of the Eletta Explore though. No cold coffee, and no cold milk. When it comes to coffee makers, one of the most important factors to consider is the build quality. After all, you want a machine that can stand the test of time and deliver consistent, high-quality coffee every time you use it, right? The Eletta Explore can make up to 10 cups of coffee at once, perfect for large families or office settings. What type of coffee beans can be used in the DeLonghi Eletta Explore? I feel kind of blah about the advertised “largest recipe variety of all time.” Single and double portions, hot as well as cold versions and a few nonsense brewing parameters are counted individually. But of course that justifies the price – or at least it should.Putting together this DeLonghi Eletta Explore review was great fun. It’s a truly excellent espresso machine that we loved testing (and drinking the coffee from!) A fully automatic machine is, after all, finite. But that doesn’t stop manufacturers from constantly pushing the boundaries. They’re eager to see if buyers will jump at features that may only seem revolutionary at first glance. Alternatively, I’ll use my bean to cup coffee maker to prepare an americano if I want a coffee-like beverage. With that said, not everyone feels the same as me, and I’m sure plenty of you will appreciate the Eletta Explore’s pot function. Hey, it’s there if you want it. Different strokes for different folks, right? Warranty

For a while I was able to introduce you to one bean-to-cup innovation after another in my super automatic espresso machine guide 2023. However, it’s getting a lot harder now. I’m seeing way fewer devices that can wow customers with technological leaps. To-Go Function: With three different coffee sizes to choose from and a liftable tray, the machine accommodates mugs of all shapes and sizes. Additionally, the De’Longhi travel mug that comes with it is a nice extra touch. Once you’ve selected your drink and any customizations, the magic happens in just about 30-60 seconds. The machine will even “speak” to you and explain where in the process it is at the moment. What is the adjustable spout, you may ask? Well, in a nutshell, it’s a part of the DeLonghi Eletta Explore that is responsible for pouring your coffee into your cup. And the more adjustable it is, the better for you. Whilst the grinder quality is excellent, it’s not the quietest out there. Similar to other DeLonghi machines, the noise is pretty high-pitched which drives my wife bananas as she’s a migraine sufferer.Essentially, it allows you to bypass the whole bean grinder and use pre-ground coffee instead. In my opinion, this feature is particularly useful if you want to switch up your coffee game and try something new without committing to a whole bag of beans. With such an arsenal of coffee choices, being able to use the Coffee Link app would be nice (weirdly, app connectivity is available everywhere except the US.) However, the machine talks you through things nicely. “Talks” is definitely the word – this very clever espresso machine explains everything as it’s doing it. There are even reminders and little tips like computer game load screens. First things first, decide whether you want your drink hot, cold, or to-go from the drinks screen. If you’re feeling fancy, you can even customize the strength and size of your drink with the preset options and save them to your profile for future use. I guess we can just accept all the marketing hype for what it is. I mean, new ideas don’t always have to be the most groundbreaking. DeLonghi definitely keeps its cold foam promise but the whole thing feels awkwardly executed and isn’t a real reason to buy the machine. Setting the temperature to low, aroma to max, and grind to three gave me the most balanced result (where the coffee would finish), but it still doesn't compare to what I get from my Magnifica S. It's a lot more drinkable than the out-of-the-box settings.WiFi connectivity: This smart feature allows you to remotely operate the machine, plan your next coffees, and adjust preferences through the app.
