About this deal

A very soft golf ball that gives you great feel on every shot and especially as you get closer and close to the green. Featuring a compression of 60, it certainly suits those with mid to slow driver swing speeds of around 90mph or less, as the softer core enables those players to get better spin and distance numbers than they would get with a firmer golf ball. Iron play with both models was again similar and the tendencies from the long game continued, primarily the UltiSoft launching higher. However, controlling the ball flight with both models was easier than expected. Working the ball high, low, left and right was possible with both models, and is another of the improvements I noticed on previous models I have tried. The Srixon is a slightly firmer golf ball and is made for golfers with slightly higher swing speeds. It is a distance ball with a very soft shell.

Off the tee, the difference in feel was at its most obvious. The Soft Feel is firmer off the face and seems to launch with a bit more speed. This combination was the chief reason for the slightly longer distances I managed with the Soft Feel. The ball flight was nice and high with spin no issue, resulting in some really impressive drives into the wind and a very straight ball flight that if I missed with driver tended to go straight right or left, rather than fade or hook. It is a really good ball at a price point that makes it accessible to the vast majority of golfers. As my time on the range, short game area and golf course progressed with the Soft Feel and UltiSoft, this proved true. But the differences were more noticeable than I expected, giving golfers who don’t opt for premium golf balls two quality options. The Srixon Soft Feel is another in a long line of high quality golf balls for a very practical price. The Soft Feel is Srixon’s long ball with low spin. It features a very thin and soft outer cover that gives the golf ball the “Soft Feel” name but with a very reactive core that produces a great amount of distance. If you are looking for extra distance, very low spin, and a soft feel, which most golfers in this market are, then the Supersoft ball is one of the best. It is, however, also priced as one of the best.

Overall, the two models proved to be more varied in performance than I had anticipated going into my testing. As I would have expected based on the swing speed recommendations, the Soft Feel was the better ball for me with its straight flight and increased distance through the entire bag. But I would have no problems recommending the UltiSoft to a lower swing speed player based on its all-round performance and particularly the almost automatic high ball flight with every club.If the option for Financing or one or more of the monthly terms are not shown, then unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for that finance type at this time. Pay in 3 instalments Price -No buying guide would be complete without at least mentioning the price factor. Thankfully most brands make models at different price points so you can rest assured there will be a top-performing model for you, however much you want to spend. Additionally, most of the soft feel models we included in this guide have different price points but none come at that super premium end of the price spectrum. FAQ's What is a soft ball good for? UltiSoft features a 338 Speed Dimple pattern to help reduce drag and increase lift. These Speed Dimples improve overall aerodynamics for better performance with drivers, woods, and irons.
