About this deal

Validity : Extended Warranty will start after the Brand warranty ends & continues for 1 year/ 2 years as per plan. What's covered : The plan covers all defects & electric malfunctions as covered under the original Brand warranty. A great wired two-way earbud, the Jib prototype is another inexpensive earbud from Skullcandy’s noise-canceling range. Moreover, Bluetooth is built-in and allows you to use the earbuds wirelessly if you lose or cannot be bothered to untangle the wires every time. Wait momentarily after plugging the earbuds in , occasionally it takes a few seconds to begin charging . However, the earbuds are not water-resistant, which is a negative if you often use the earbuds while working out or going for a run/jog.

The Jib is not equipped with active noise cancellation technology either, which means you lose out on the complete surround sound experience. Be sure to charge your earbuds on a flat surface to ensure the USB connector on the charging cord is flush and securely inserted into the charging port. We were sort of turned off by the construction and quality of plastics used for the housings and to be true we were not expecting much from the Skullcandy but to our very surprise the Skullcandy INK’D 2.0 have a very nice, fun and punchy bass that is still balanced and not excessive, sub-bass has enough depth too. The 11mm dynamic driver and the neodymium magnet are efficiently doing their job. With an eq the Skullcandy INK’D 2.0 become much punchier and gain a lot more of depth. So, if you prefer to use it for bassier and party-styled music you can safely apply an EQ and fine tune the bass of them. Issue: Not seeing the LED light on Ink’d® Wireless that indicates earbuds are charging. Or, not seeing LED light on Ink’d® Wireless that indicates headphones are finished charging, despite charging for 1+ hours . They engineered the Skullcandy portable Link technology that combines headphones with hands-free cellular technology. The hybrid circuitry processing delivers a broad range of sounds that provide a holistic listening experience. First impression upon getting a good seal: holy crap that is some *massive* driver flex. Very unpleasant, but not a problem once they are in. The fit is pretty standard – they fit like most other straight-barrel IEMs and can be easily worn up as well as down. The fact that they are also very light makes them comfortable and microphonics are nearly non-existent. Very easy IEMs to wear if you can find tips that seal and are not bothered by driver flex, and easier to insert than the Marshmallows as well due to the longer, more “grippy” barrel. The Ink’d buds also have better clarity overall and better high-end extension (though still nothing to brag about). The Marshmallows have much more bass, but it is of poorer quality – less defined and less refined. The Marshmallows are definitely warmer and smoother overall - the Ink’ds have a good amount of harshness and are very bright at the upper end. The jib can also produce heavy and powerful bass thanks to its dynamic driver. The Skullcandy Jib earbud consists of a smooth cable and a great build. The super light housings (and cheap feeling plastics, in our opinion) makes them comfortable to use even for extended time, they fit securely to withstand any normal use and are easy to put in and out.

If you are obsessed with Skullcandy, all you have to do is determine your planned use to figure out just what you will need. The highs of the Skullcandy INK’D 2.0 have some brightness and detail and are piercing only with very high peaks, overall they are not sibilant. If an EQ is applied they rapidly become very sibilant and a bit more piercing. However, they clear up a lot and are able to provide much more detail than before equalizing. Skullcandy Jib has a deep, smooth, and clean bass that audiophiles would enjoy. This is all thanks to its more significant drivers. There is no distortion in the bass.to our very surprise the Skullcandy INK’D 2.0 have a very nice, fun and punchy bass that is still balanced and not excessive… If you are not too worried about a budget, then the Skullcandy Ink’d be the way to go as it comes with remote control with a few extra buttons. This earphone does not have left and right labelled. It's made in such a way that you can use any bud for any ear. While it's smart and saves you time so that you don't need to always search what ear you need it to put it in, it makes your ear extremely scratchy and uncomfortable for the first few times you wear it. After a few days of use, you will get used to it, and it'll be hard to switch to earphones which aren't designed like this. Sometimes, the voice can be so loud that it can force the customer to listen to music at lower volumes. With Get Down Saturday Night, we found that the soundstage was a bit too narrow, with very little in the way of spaciousness. The tonality of the sound didn't strike us as very good, and the entire sonic presentation felt like that of a budget headset. Although the Skullcandy Ink'd Wireless is reasonably priced for a Bluetooth headset, it's sound is essentially on par with the much more affordable Ink'd 2.0.

I will go through my experience with the Ink’d buds at length and then sum it up for the tl;dr types. All on-the-go listening was done straight out of a Sansa Fuze and at home I used an iBasso D10. The Skullcandy Jib consists of a 0.36-inch dynamic driver. The driver aids in the transmission of sound through the ear canal. These are also very light and feel quite cheap to the touch. Given my experience with the GIs (which are about 30% skullcandy and 70% superglue at this point), the thin plastics don’t inspire much confidence. They are, however, well-fabricated, with metal filters and no visible seams on the plastics (unlike the marshmallows). Additionally, the earbuds are not water-resistant, which is a negative if you often use the earbuds while working out or going for a run/jog. Though it can seem to be a trivial distinction, the earbuds are often superior in convenience, reliability, and audio quality. Moreover, they are one of Skullcandy’s more portable offerings, and they are designed with versatility in mind.

The Ink'd Wireless is not without faults, though. Bass levels are certainly on the heavy side, which can get tiring over time. Additionally, the soundstage is narrow, mids and highs are easily overpowered by lows, and the Bluetooth connection isn't always stable. If you can bear some of these flaws and want a comfortable pair of wireless in-ears, the Skullcandy Ink'd Wireless is a good option to consider.
