About this deal

I did like the main characters very much and felt their emotion was raw and that their connection was very real, and for that I commend Hoover and Fisher for their excellent description. I'm a little angry once I'm done with this book. Mostly confused, but partially angry. This series is one giant puzzle I'm dying to solve and I'm nowhere near of figuring out the answers. I can hear myself asking "But why?" every five minutes. It's like a broken record playing in my head. This had a really interesting premise, if not so much of a great execution. Two teenagers who seem to have forgotten all of their memories must work together to find out how their pasts are connected and how to regain what's been lost. There's a lot of secrets and lies, family drama and broken promises.

My favorite of this novella is of course, Silas's POV. I love him. I love every moment I'm in his head like seriously, the humor and the sexiness combined into one.

For most of this book, Charlie and Silas are separated. She has been imprisoned and must try and figure out exactly who is holding her captive and why. Meanwhile, Silas falls under scrutiny when Charlie does not turn up. He was the last person seen with her and the number one suspect in her disappearance. This is my sixth novel by Follett and once again I was captivated by his storytelling, terrified by the “what if” and in love with his vast host of characters. So, a basic run down for this girl who never reads such books, and one that I needed. Goodies V Baddies. US, South Korea, UK, Japan V. North Korea, China, Russia. They were crazy!

Ummm??? Is this an actual joke? How did I FINISH the book and still have no idea what happened??? Why it happened??? Like how do you write a mystery book or whatever this book is supposed to be but my point is nothing about this book was that great. Everything was mediocre, the writing, the characters even the plot the only reason I kept reading was because I was waiting for the punch line ok you got me why did they lose their memories??? But the entire book is the same thing over and over again idk who I am and then the book ends and there’s no explanation of why any of it even happened? What was the FREAKING point?!?!? Colleen, Tarryn listen—— I just wanna talk: 🤦‍♀️ I feel like I must have missed something but idk what lmao. send help. I am flabbergasted. Baffled. Annoyed. I feel like I wasted my time. Nuclear war, ‘mutually assured destruction’ - MAD. Thousands of lives lost during the middle section of this book, and a lot of that has to do with ego. Pauline Green is sensible, tries to come to suitable agreements, but those on the opposing side are not willing to be like her. As dad said, ‘mutually assured destruction’. As short as each of these audiobooks are, the story doesn't seem rushed at all. I wouldn't have minded a little more information on Charlie's escape and some sort of revenge against her captors. I thought that particular aspect of the story was a bit anti-climactic. There were many other things that didn't ring true. I would go into details, but that would make this review too spoiler-ish. How can you put together the woman who wrote Slammed and the woman who wrote Mud Vain and expect it to work?Never is a 2021 thriller novel, written by British author Ken Follett. It is a globe-spanning thriller, covering multiple plotlines concerning the beginnings of a cataclysmic war, fueled by espionage, technological advances in warfare and political instability in countries like China and the United States. [1] Plot [ edit ] Born on June 5th, 1949 in Cardiff, Wales, the son of a tax inspector, Ken was educated at state schools and went on to graduate from University College, London, with an Honours degree in Philosophy – later to be made a Fellow of the College in 1995. Dialogue in this book is often ridiculous, either because supposedly-serious characters talk like children (Follett has a terrible tendency to have powerful women--the US president, a CIA Field Agent--giggle in the midst of a crisis) or because he wants to include exposition and can't find a better way to do it than through intelligent accomplished men and women reciting the most basic facts possible: which countries are allied with each other, world leaders' past histories, even the President asking to be told what happens when a nuclear missile explodes. Part two had some extremely wild points where I was like thinking to myself, “What is going on right now?!?!?” Part two built up a ton of suspense. It allowed you to try and come up with some theories about what was happening to the main characters. Going into part 3 I was really excited to see how it would all finally play out.

This is the first book of a series co-written by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. Colleen wrote the guy's POV, Tarryn wrote the girl's, and the two halves of the story were blended together seamlessly. This is super flat in spots, with Harry’s attitude being the only saving grace. The investigation into the missing miners is all-around boring and seemed to require a lot of filler scenes. So while it is a typical fast James Patterson read in terms of length and chapter size, the scene quality was pretty bland, creating a sedate pace.

In China, a senior government official with vast ambitions for himself and his country battles against the older Communist hawks in the government, who may be pushing China--and its close military ally, North Korea--to a place of no return. Never”, a contemporary book, imagines a series of global events that brings the world closer to a Third World War, a nuclear war that few would survive. This book opens with our two narrators having absolutely no memory of who they are, where they live, who their friends and family are... or how they managed to get in this state. Piecing together clues about their lives and their relationship, it seems like the more they discover the weirder everything gets. Who were they before? How did they lose their memories? Do they even want to find out?
