About this deal

As you can see, Marshall MG15G is a truly great guitar amplifier. I have no hesitation in recommending this model to all guitarists who are searching for a small and versatile amp suitable for home practice. It has pretty much everything that you need – a great tone, a classic look and a relatively low price. You can get SOME classic metal tones out of it, especially if you throw in a cheap metal distortion pedal. But if you need an amp solely for metal, this won’t cut it. Not only this, but despite it's relatively small size the Marshall MG15GR is powerful enough for you to use in a small band-practice session too. Marshall MG15GR Combo Amp Technical Specs Why is it so good? Well, the amp features two separate channels (clean and overdrive), so you can easily switch between them. In addition, there’s a 3-band EQ that gives you even more control over your tone. These features are extremely important for all musicians who like to experiment with their guitar sound. Marshall MG amps are good but not great in my opinion. They are meant to be decent solid-state amps for the money. But you can definitely find more versatile or better-looking amps than the MG series.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty What you DO get is the Tap tempo button which you can use to set the delay time. Nothing fancy – but good enough to add some spice to your practice sessions.Technically speaking, the phaser adds an out-of-phase signal on top of the original signal, creating a swirling effect and adding some movement to the sound. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. But they’re reliable amps that sound good for the price. The clean channels are pretty good, different from others for sure. Besides that, you also get some nice digital chorus, reverb, delay, etc. effects on these amps. Is the Marshall MG15FX Good for Metal? I personally use chorus a lot, both with clean and crunch leads/chords. It just makes your playing more interesting than without it. Controls: Clean Volume, Channel Selection Button, Overdrive Gain, Overdrive Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble

This makes it sound like there’s a second guitar or bass playing with you, and I find it extremely fun to use at times.

As I mentioned earlier, Marshall MG15G is suitable for both amateur and more advanced guitarists. This amp is designed mainly for home practice, but it’s loud enough for rehearsals as well. You can also use it for small gigs, but since it’s a budget amp, it’s not an ideal option. However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. Although Marshall MG15G is generally a great amp, it has its own disadvantages as well. Here’s a few things that you should be aware of: Finally, you get the octave effect which lowers the pitch an octave, and plays that with the original signal. You get two reverb modes on this one. Firstly, studio reverb, which is akin to what you get typically in most amps. A modern, dense sound that emulates an ambient character.

The amp can be operated in either a Manual or Preset mode. In Manual mode, the amp's settings always match the physical positions of the knobs, while in Preset mode, the position of all controls except the Master Volume is stored within each channel, and the physical position of the knobs will not match the settings of the amplifier. This means you can set up four distinct amp characters ahead of time and switch among them during the gig with an optional footswitch. Offering the crucial aspects that put the MG amps on the map, but with a tweaked modern sound and alluring brushed gold finish, this range happens to be as affordable as it is versatile! The tone of all four channels can be adjusted with the three-knob EQ section and stored within the channel's memory for instant recall at a later time. A dedicated reverb offers digital simulations of studio verbs or spring tanks, and this reverb can be stored/recalled, along with your tone setting, in each channel slot. The MG15R is a two channel amp, giving you access to classic Marshall clean, blues and heavy driven sounds. The built-in 3-band EQ allows you to controls your overall tone, whilst the onboard reverb adds a pro-sheen. If you don’t like the look or the sound of Marshall MG15G, don’t worry! There’s a few great alternatives out there which are actually not that expensive either.Nevertheless, I’m sure that Marshall MG15G will satisfy the vast majority of amateur and more advanced guitarists. This amp offers a great value for the money, so there’s no need to search for alternative options. Undoubtedly, the quality of that amp won’t disappoint you!
