About this deal

A form of media where Zeus is portrayed as a piece of shit and the scum of scums that he really is? Win.

An inspired, sweet, and thoroughly modern reimagining of Hades and Persephone’s tale. Its cast is memorable, and its central relationship absorbing and spellbinding.” —Aliette de Bodard, award-winning author of Fireheart Tiger All of Olympus-- and the Underworld--are talking about the God of the Dead and the sprightly daughter of Demeter. But despite the rumors of their romance, Hades and Persephone have plenty to navigate on their own. Persephone: The sweet pink cinnamon roll 💗 she is my favourite and I want her to stand for herself and I know she tries her best but sometimes people like Apollo don't know the meaning of NO😤 and all I want for her is happiness!!!Persephone is a huge ball of sunshine, even when everything around her is falling apart, she manages to get through the day with a smile on her face. That brings us to the Apollo issue at hand, he's 24/7 on jerk duty for real! Persephone darling, we love you but you can't just let random men walk all over you and take advantage of your kind heart. It was sad to see her struggling to deal with the whole situation and feeling like she couldn't confide in anyone. Where is protective Demeter when we need her?! Her daughter is having a hard time fitting in Olympus all alone and she is doing what? Persephone tells Hades that she’s still getting used to the rules in this realm. In the mortal realm she would sleep under the stars with all the nymphs, but here in Olympus everyone is quite conservative. Hades asks Persephone how she ended up in tower 4. Persephone once again keeps Minthe’s secret and instead says she got turned around. Hades knows she’s lying. Six months later addendum: That might be true, lots of rape in ye olde mythology, but I do question why you'd add that to your soapy romance that's mostly read by teens. Feels unnecessary, Rachel Smythe!]

This full-color edition of Smythe's original Eisner-nominated webcomic Lore Olympus features a brand-new, exclusive short story, and brings Greek mythology into the modern age in a sharply perceptive and romantic graphic novel. Witness what the gods do after dark in the fifth volume of a stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of the best-known stories in Greek mythology, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes content from creator Rachel Smythe. Hermes awkwardly asks Persephone to head to work with him. Persephone lets Hermes wait inside the apartment while she gets ready and Artemis freaks out because she’s already on edge. Persephone tells Artemis it’s fine because Hermes has already seen her naked. All of Olympus-and the Underworld-are talking about the God of the Dead and the sprightly daughter of Demeter. But despite the rumors of their romance, Hades and Persephone have plenty to navigate on their own. A refreshingly modern and surprisingly poignant take on the Hades and Persephone myth . . . steamy, often laugh-out-loud funny, and emotional."-Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author of From Blood and AshDoes Hades even need any explanation? I don't see how he can get any more perfect. One second he's all shy and weak on the knees for Persephone, and the next second he's a damn smooth flirt. He's charming, compassionate and the ultimate immortal simp, come change my mind. He swears that he'd stay away, yet one look at the girl brings his principles crumbling down. He literally said, 'I'm sorry for walking too fast'; he's so cute for what? Minthe is such an idiot for playing around with his precious feelings. Hades calls Hecate in a crisis. Hecate explains that they were in the mortal realm, Hades got drunk and passed out. Persephone came across him and that’s where they met.

💕 Eros figures that Persephone isn’t a virgin and asks if she enjoyed herself. She shows him what happened and he tells her that Apollo raped her. Eros takes Persephone to his house.

It's easy to see why the internet has fallen in love with Lore Olympus. This dazzling interpretation of the classic Greek myths is as charming as it is provocative, and as witty as it is startlingly romantic. Prepare to be swept away!" -Marissa Meyer, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of The Lunar Chronicles In addition to the episodes previously published on WEBTOON, Volume One , Volume Two, and Volume Three each include one never-before-seen short story as a bonus chapter. The bonus chapter is in every edition of the book regardless of format.

The art in this series is freaking amazing, the style is so beautiful and unique and even if the plot wasn't all that great (FYI it is fantastic), I would still give it 5 stars for the art. Then again, I assumed they (THEY?) just looked for something with a pastel cover and clapped their hands in joy. I don't personally get the hype, but I can see why this was successful as a webtoon. The art is gorgeous and different from what I usually read in graphic novels so it just added more to my excitement. I loved the plot as it is the modern retelling of greek myths and the way the author draw the characters in this is just so unique, stylish and perfect. The story is about the myth of Persephone's abduction by Hades but in a modern world of friendships, lies and gossips and the wild parties where we get to see the different sides of greek gods.
