I loved the first film, I found the second rather disappointing and this deserves its place as the lowest rated. In the first stanza of ‘The Highwayman,’the speaker begins by describing “The wind,”“The moon,” and “The road”. Noyes uses metaphors to outline what each of these is like. The wind is a “torrent of darkness,” alluding to the movements of a river or other powerful, moving body of water. In the second line he compares the moon to a “ghostly galleon” that appears like a “galleon,” or large ship, that’s being “tossed upon the clouds”. This brings the image of water into the poem again and the cloudy seas. The Highwayman" establishes within the very first stanza a distinct, ghost-story-like quality to the atmosphere. First, it is night time and we know that it is not only windy, but dark and cloudy. The moon as a "ghostly galleon" is a metaphor comparing the moon to one of those old large sailing ships from the 16th century we now see most often represented in paintings. Such ships were very large, and knowing that the moon itself does not move, you can imagine the way the wind is blowing the clouds that the illusion of a sea is created. I also get the distinct impression that this moon is full. Of course, the wind itself can't be dark. But through this comparison, the tone is immediately set. This isn't the calm breeze of a summer's day. Darkness abounds, and it is further modified by the use of "torrent," which connotes a sense of being out of control or wild. As stated before, your character does have a Nautical Level and Nautical Experience bar for your Ship! The higher your Nautical Level is, the better high level ship equipment you can use to equip on your ships! Your Character’s main level also matters to equip higher level ships. Instead of the highwayman approaching, the speaker sees “a red-coat troop marching” instead. They appear to be a crimson “gypsy’s ribbon” spreading across the moor.
