Leading the charge is a new collectible boxed set, Age of Sigmar: Dominion, and three smaller starter sets. What was once a muddled setting with a stilted ruleset, Age of Sigmar is accelerating its growth, breaking away from existing tropes and evolving into something unique and memorable. If you were looking for a place to jump into the hobby, now is an exceptionally good time. We then get a frame containing the Swampcaller Shaman and the Lord-Imperatant, and a frame containing the Knight-Arcanum and the Killaboss with Stab-grot. I expect we will see combinations of these two sprues across the various starter boxes that will no doubt be released after this set. At the start of each battleround, the players must roll off. This is called the Priority Roll. The winner has priority in the battleround and must decide who will take the first turn and who will take the second turn. Couple of days ago I received this awesome box in the post from Games Workshop. I’m going to be honest with you guys. When I received Cursed City a few months ago I spent a week filming, photographing, editing and writing my review of the game only for the game to sell out before anyone had seen the review. I felt bad sharing my review because so many people were angry they didn’t get a chance to buy the set. So that’s had a profound affect on me and this “review”. Similar to 40k I suspect we will see additional entries in battletomes too that are suited to that specific army.

Finally the book includes rules for fighting underground battles in tunnels! In a nod to the old Realm of Beasts rules we also see wild monsters inhabiting these tunnels!

Allegiance Abilities

It’s also very likely that once you’ve got a couple of armies at your fingertips and you’ve played through the introductory stuff in the Starter Set, you might want to wage wider war in the Mortal Realms. Once again, there is both good news and bad news: whilst GW recently have announced new Battletomes for both Orruks and Stormcast Eternals, they aren’t out yet. The game started with the Swampcall Shaman, who cast Arcane Missile on the pair of Vindicors on the eastern side of the board. With a casting value of 5, and 5 being rolled on two dice, one of the Vindictors suffered a Mortal Wound. The Shaman decided to stay put for the rest of the turn and wait for the Stormcasts to come to him. Again, needing a value of 8, the odds were against them, and with a roll of 7 they could not charge.
