Marcus, Ezra (23 March 2021). "The Curious Case of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Box". The New York Times . Retrieved 24 March 2021. The last known information was that General Mills was investigating but there have been no further updates since the incident in 2021. There were never any recalls or other reports, not even a real statement by General Mills. When Was Cinnamon Toast Crunch Invented? The cinnamon adds flavor directly to the dough. The butter creates a flaky bite, the vanilla adds flavor, and the sugar sweetens it all up. Start by mixing together the cinnamon and sugar. See, super simple. There was a lot of inspiration from different places for this recipe, so let me walk you through it all.

And guys, that’s about it. This cereal is the simplest to make and every single ingredient is a pantry staple. Meaning you have zero excuses to not bake these up this week. Promise it will be fun, and yes, so delicious! The early slogans for the company came were much later than the three bakers but all three bakers were still present. It was about 1995 when they created their first tagline “the taste you can see”. Cinnamon Toast Crunch (CTC), [1] known as Croque-Cannelle in French Canada and Curiously Cinnamon in the UK (previously Cinnamon Grahams), and as a variant called Cini Minis in other European and Latin American countries, is a brand of breakfast cereal produced by General Mills and Nestlé. First produced in 1984, [2] the cereal aims to provide the taste of cinnamon toast in a crunch cereal format. The cereal consists of small squares or rectangles of wheat and rice covered with cinnamon and sugar. The cereal is puffed and when immersed in milk, it makes a "snap" noise, similar to Rice Krispies. In most European countries and North America, the product is sold in boxes. In Poland and Russia the cereal is sold in bags. The product was originally marketed outside Europe with the mascot of a jolly baker named Wendell. Wendell was replaced as a mascot by the "Crazy Squares", sentient Cinnamon Toast Crunch squares that often eat each other in commercials. Next, most everyone is home right now. Many of you are home with your kids and they are bored. I don’t personally have kids, but I have my little sister, Asher, visiting me often…and she is bored. Asher’s favorite cereal? Cinnamon Toast Crunch…though she’s never had the boxed kind. My parents just don’t buy that stuff anymore (correction – Asher says she has had it at her cousins in Cleveland). But I’ve made this homemade version before and Asher has always loved it. When I told her what I was making on Sunday, her eyes widened with excitement and we had a lot of fun baking this together. So, my point? This is a great recipe to bake up if you have bored kids at home. Hunt, Kevin (2014-10-23). "The story of Chef Wendell". A Taste of General Mills . Retrieved 2017-12-20.

Introduction

Cinnamon Toast Crunch was created by a scientist named John Mendesh. He worked closely with Elisabeth Trach, who was the assistant product manager at General Mills at the time. The idea was taken from a contest that the company had run. Kids could submit their favorite idea for cereal and be entered to win a prize. This was one idea submitted and they put it to use. Two, after making homemade Twix bars, homemade Chocolate Fudge Pop Tarts, and then, homemade Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts, I was left wanting to create more homemade versions of my childhood favorites. Something about quarantine life has left me wanting all the nostalgic foods from my past. Is that weird? I don’t know, but I sure am having a lot of fun creating (and improving) on the boxed foods we all ate (and loved) growing up. In Germany, Austria, Romania, Hungary, Israel, and Poland where a variant of the cereal is known as Cini Minis, a strawberry flavoured variant named Erdbeer Minis/ Strawberry Minis exists.
