Der erste Band wurde in einem Orange gestaltet. Dies ist der zweite Band. Das Buchcover ist blau und in der Mitte steht Elliot mit einem Instrument. Links stehen Thanatos und seine böse Mutte, die Flügeln hat. Ich denke mal, dass das Thanatos und seine Mutter ist. Rechts von Ellliot sind Virgo und Elliots Vater oder Zeus zu sehen. The characters are so realistic that I desperately want a night out with them for a laugh and the dialogue and writing are, as always, just downright hilarious. My husband couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me when I couldn’t stop laughing at the constant gate references and I think the banter and interaction between Elliot and Virgo is just perfect. Familiar characters return and a couple of new ones appear that will really throw a spanner in the works while making the story a whole lot more interesting, if that’s even possible. Zeus en de andere Griekse goden helpen Elliot met het verzorgen van zijn moeder, ze is best wel achteruit gegaan. Tijdens een opdracht die hij voor school moet maken, komt hij achter een nieuw stukje van zijn familiegeschiedenis. Dit houdt Elliot het hele boek bezig. Ook al heeft hij daar weinig tijd voor, want hij moet de volgende chaossteen zien te vinden en ondertussen Thanatos van zich afslaan. A great way to become familiar with Greek mythology, and an affecting story with Elliott and his family, some revelations in this story that leave you wanting to read the next instalment. I went with my grandchildren 10 & 16 and we all had fun, exercise and learnt some of the history of our city. It was the best 2 hours we have spent in years.

Bei diesem Titel handelt es sich um den zweiten Band einer Reihe. Meine Rezension zu Teil 1 findet ihr HIER. Die Rezension kann daher Spoiler für Teil 1 enthalten. Het is te gek om te lezen dat er ook een andere kant is. Die verdieping geeft in de relaties en gevoelens van Elliot. Wie moet hij vertrouwen? En kan hij het weerstaan om wat hij wil ondergeschikt te maken aan het hogere doel? Zo is zijn pijn grootser dan zijn vriendschap. “Ellie! Luister nou naar de vrienden die je hebt! Probeer verder te kijken dan je pijn!” schreeuw ik naar de levenloze bladzijdes. De climax. Ik zit er helemaal in. Het is alsof ik middenin de chaos sta. Het suist allemaal om me heen. Der Schreibstil ist flüssig und spannend geschrieben. Ich konnte die Geschichte in einen Rutsch lesen und teilweise war das ganze ziemlich humorvoll geschrieben.Der Klappentext klingt vielversprechend und macht neugierig auf mehr. Ich habe keine Erwartungen an das Buch . Ich lasse es mich infach überraschen wie die Geschichte von Elliot und Thanatos sowie Virgo weitergeht. Ook deel 2 is weer een dikke pil van bijna 400 bladzijden. Maar al deze bladzijden geven plezier. Dit verhaal is grappig, chaotische en hysterisch. Het eerste boek eindigde met een cliffhanger, het tweede boek speelt zich daarna pas af. Wat is er nou gebeurd op die kerstdag? That's a brief summary of where the story begins. It takes in an absolutely stonking scene with the Royal Family, a tour of the Greek myths and characters, a teaming up of two of Elliott's 'enemies' from the first book, both out to get him.
