About this deal

This mouse is pretty easy to set up and configure. You just turn it on, connect via Bluetooth and it allows three different settings, so you can pair this with three different devices at once. The laser points are built into the mouse and are also designed to be very precise and work on all sorts of surfaces including glass.

The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 is a well-built, versatile mouse that lives up to its name with a travel-friendly design and a sensor that works on nearly every surface. This is an older version of MX Anywhere 2S mouse. This mouse is more popular for travel and its portability. The features are also nice and work well. This is a productivity mouse and great for that work. Logitech MX Anywhere 2S

NOTE: If you can't locate Devices and Printers, set the Control Panel to View by: Small icons. You should then be able to see all Control Panel items.

TIP: Use Logitech Options to view available gesture sets and assign gestures to the middle button or to other mouse controls. The figure below shows gesture sets available for managing windows in Windows (7, 8, or later) and Mac OS X (10.8 or later). The gesture button is a nice idea in theory, but holding down the button and moving the mouse doesn’t always trigger the desired action. I sometimes brought up the Alt+Tab switcher when I meant to do something else, apparently because the mouse or software didn’t sense my movement. Maximizing and restoring windows by moving the mouse up was an especially hit-or-miss gesture for some reason. Mac gestures like desktop switching also didn’t work reliably. I’m not sure why this is, but it’s an idea that needs refinement.

NOTE: The MX Anywhere 2 wireless mouse uses Bluetooth Smart technology and is not compatible with Windows 7 computers that do not support Bluetooth Smart.

When it comes down to finding a travel mouse, the Anywhere 2 comes very highly recommended. It’s a durable mouse that isn’t as sensitive as other Logitech mice, and it can take a few bumps without you having to worry about it falling apart. Edit as of June 22, 2021: The mouse is still working perfectly. No issues to speak of and I just got the "critical battery level" message today. I fully charged the battery when I first received it (April 24, 2021), so it has lasted an approximate total of 59 days. This is after having used it nearly every day for up to 10 hours a day. If you don't use your mouse nearly as much, I imagine you will be able to stretch the time between each charge.Oh yeah the unifying USB receiver recognized my older Logitech keyboard , MK700 and the USB cord has a nice little velcro strap to secure it. Nice touches.

With the MX Anywhere 2, I can conveniently connect the mouse to multiple portable devices without having to re-pair frequently. It is a perfect companion to the multi-device K480 or K810 Bluetooth keyboards. The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 mouse sells for… One minute of charging gives you enough power for two hours of use. Depending on how you use the mouse, a full charge can last up to 70 days.* I asked Logitech about this perceived acceleration to confirm whether my hunch was correct, and the company provided us with the following statement: You can use the selector button on the bottom of the MX Anywhere 2 wireless mouse to pair it with up to three devices.

What’s more, both mice have three onboard pairing profiles, each of which can be assigned to a Unifying reciever or a Bluetooth connection. That makes it easy to move the mice between PCs with Bluetooth Smart and others with Unifying dongles with nothing more than a button press. How happy you are with this mouse really depends on how big your hands are and what you’re already used to in terms of mice. So, you’re already using a larger mouse and you’re used to having your hand arch like that in a comfortable position, then MX Anywhere 2 mouse is not going to do a really good job. It’s probably going to make you uncomfortable after a while of use. For shorter travel trips, so if you’re just using this when you’re traveling for a business trip or if you don’t travel too frequently, then it’s going to be probably just enough but for a daily driver for people with large hands who are used to a large mouse, then it’s not going to be ideal. Logitech MX Anywhere 2S Installation of Logitech Options transforms the middle button into a gesture button you can use to trigger gestures that simplify desktop and application management, media control, document viewing, and personalization of common tasks.
