About this deal

FREMONT, CA, July 12th, 2022 – CORSAIR ® (NASDAQ: CRSR), a world leader in enthusiast components for gamers, creators, and PC builders, today announced the 2022 models of the HX1500i and HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low Noise ATX Power Supplies, delivering unwavering 80 PLUS Platinum-certified power for today’s most demanding and ambitious systems. Using a fully digital platform to provide unparalleled performance and advanced features such as control over fan curves and power settings integrated into CORSAIR iCUE software, the HXi Series is ready to power your new premium PC build running the latest 12th Gen Intel ® Core™ or AMD Ryzen™ processor and high-performance graphics card. Overall performance is good, but I would like to see the HX1500i closer to the Toughpower TF1. The latter is Titanium-rated, but it costs less than the HX1500i. Epilogue

You will always have better results if you use a single cable instead of a 12 pin to 8 pins adapter + normal PCIE cables. Corsair has a wide range of power supplies available at various price points, and while I haven't always been impressed with their low and mid range units over the years, their high end power supplies have always been exceptionally well designed and implemented. The HX1500i cements their position in the high end sector – catering to the enthusiast audience demanding the highest levels of power and stability. The HX1500i is rated as Platinum in the 80 PLUS and Cybenetics schemes, and it also has a Cybenetics A- noise rating, which translates to 25-30 dBA average noise output. Not many high-capacity PSUs can achieve such a noise rating, so the HX1500i is suitable for a quiet gaming system. With 200 mm depth, this is not a small PSU, so you should ensure that your chassis can accommodate it, before spending 400 dollars purchasing the unit. I prefer large PSUs over downsized ones, which can be noisier due to restricted airflow in their internals. The use of large fans also helps in keeping the noise low. Corsair Link monitoring and control is also more limited on the HXi. We retain monitoring of power supply efficiency, temperature, and fan speed. We can also monitor voltage and amperage on the 12V, 5.5V, and 3V rails. The monitoring is more basic, though; while the AXi can monitor specific draws (24-pin motherboard cable, peripherals, individual PCIe rails), the HXi only gives a broad monitoring of 12V draw. If you're building a high-performance PC, you need a power supply that can keep up with your demands. That's where the CORSAIR HX850 comes in - this 850 Watt, 80+ Platinum certified, fully modular power supply is the platinum standard in power supplies.

The other hot issue at the moment is Citrix Workspace. Users with CUE 4.33 and this installed are losing devices and sensor data.

The modular bay is clearly laid out in three rows. Top left is the connector which is used to get support in Corsair iCUE. You simply connect the included USB Type C cable to the power supply and motherboard, then load the latest version of Corsair's iCUE software. Next we want to try Cross Loading. This basically means loads which are not balanced. If a PC for instance needs 500W on the +12V outputs but something like 30W via the combined 3.3V and +5V outputs then the voltage regulation can fluctuate badly. Cross Load TestingBut what really sets the HX850 apart from the competition is its advanced features. With Zero RPM fan mode, the power supply is able to run silently under light loads, keeping your PC cool and quiet. And with Corsair Link software, you can monitor the power supply's performance and adjust its settings to your exact needs. Just buy Seasonic (yes I am a Seasonic fan boy lol).I did, a focus 550W gold full modular - spark shown in less than 2 months. Waited 6 months got a focus 550W gold semi-modular - spark show after 10 months. Previous PSU was a corsair HX 620W lasted 8 + years. Put a 660W Ion+ Platinum in there now (sons PC). I was a seasonic fan until then. It's a challenge to find what ATX ver they build any of their PSU's to. Good thing for the warranty. Doesn't help the burnt electronics smell in my house though. CORSAIR (NASDAQ:CRSR) is a leading global developer and manufacturer of high-performance gear and technology for gamers, content creators, and PC enthusiasts. From award-winning PC components and peripherals, to premium streaming equipment, smart ambient lighting, and esports coaching services, CORSAIR delivers a full ecosystem of products that work together to enable everyone, from casual gamers to committed professionals, to perform at their very best.

If HWinfo does not detect the PSU or simply as another argument to pass on to Support, you can grab any usb-c cable and temporarily run the data wire to rear IO usb-C or A port. Phone charging cable or even a newer detachable mouse cable can work for this. Fact of the matter is, you don't need a 12+4-pin on the PSU side. They're doing it for marketing. And judging by the comments in this thread, it's working. User sees the new connector on the PSU side and automatically assumes the PSU meets the new requirements. Cable quality is excellent with the majority of the cables being flat ribbon style, for ease of routing in a system build. The ATX cable is sleeved. cheers & remember revision and version dont jive exactly, you can cross reference with a bit of reading on the wiki CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast components for gamers, creators, and PC builders, today announced the 2022 models of the HX1500i and HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low Noise ATX Power Supplies, delivering unwavering 80 PLUS Platinum-certified power for today's most demanding and ambitious systems. POWERFUL CONNECTIONS

While we can’t configure OCP points on a per +12V rail basis like we can in the AXi, we can still toggle single and multiple +12V rail operation on the HXi. Like with the AXi series of power supplies, the HXi ships as a multiple +12V rail power supply by default. Zero RPM Fan Mode: At low and medium loads the cooling fan switches off entirely for near-silent operation. KitGuru says: The HX1500i is a quality power supply from Corsair which will appeal to the enthusiast audience demanding high levels of well controlled power. Our results confirm this supply achieves 80 Plus Platinum efficiency levels and was able to deliver close to 1700 watts of power under extreme load conditions. The iCUE functionality and option to switch from single rail to multi rail on the fly will appeal to a niche audience.
