I also like the progression from the 7 of Cups to the 9 of Cups (see below). It’s really clever. To me it shows the power of recognising, grounding and being grateful for what you have rather than just dreaming of what you want and becoming paralysed by having too many choices. The problem with having too many choices or thinking we need so many things to feel fulfilled can mean we make no decisions at all or we focus on what we imagine others have rather than what we have and need ourselves. Another thing I noticed is that due to the way the cards are labelled, the image size on the Major Arcana is the smallest followed by the Aces and Court cards (see above). I find this makes the Majors, the Court and the Aces stand out quite boldly in a reading and my eyes naturally return to them even though the image is smaller. Yet, if you asked me I’d say I like the bigger image. Past Position The Magician in the past position indicates that you, at one time, used focused attention to manifest an outcome. You may or may not have consciously set out to create or bring something into your life; however, everything lined up just so, and today this event serves as a piece of the foundation for your situation.
