stars. I loved the first book, it had its issues, but I loved it just the same unfortunately this book missed the mark for me. He is self-centered, arrogant, and the guy does not appear to know what a filter is, let alone how to use it. He has had everything served up on a silver platter, including a never ending series of women, and apparently Olivia’s next. His one problem? Olivia’s got no intention of falling for his shi… er, charm.

I guess i will try to list the things that i liked and the things i didn't (from what i remember because i have read other books in between). Rosie gives me all of her–her heartache, her laughter, and her son. But me? I’m holding on a little too tightly to the pieces I’m scared to give up, the pieces she might not like. he is the biggest cinnamon roll mmc and just so loveable. i love how he was patient and protective over jennie <33

There were also times when I felt Jennie should have been the one to go and apologize or just go to Garrett rather then him to her. I felt like he just sort of overcompensated for some things. i’m so hyped to read the rest of the series since i already love all the other side characters so much. can’t wait for Garrett + Jennie’s story or Adam’s story! but i’m most excited to read Emmett + Cara’s book bc i know it’s going to be a marriage in crisis (just a theory since they are already a couple in Consider Me) and i know it’s going to break my heart. 😩 I could float through the rest of my life content in knowing I’ve held perfection in these arms.” (Adam)Have you ever seen a six-foot-four hulk of a man cradle his tiny, newborn baby girl in his arms while singing “You Are My Sunshine?” I absolutely hate single parent if the ex is still in the picture. I love single dad/mom and this was so good because Rosie is a mom of a cute little toddler I adore. But this pet peve of mine makes me skeptical and anxious about reading it further. I don't enjoy the constant comparison to the ex, knowing that he will eventually become a source of conflict and likely be portrayed as the bad guy. It's also predictable that the main character will be shown as a better parent compared to the actual parent, with the child obviously favoring the main character.

I feel like Adam’s personality was so up in the air. He would be super dominant in the bedroom & a big dirty talker even before they made it to sex, but then we would see his conversations with his friends before their first date & then again before they had sex & he acted as if he was like a virgin teenager. His personality just seemed very contradictory to me. but that's okay, because she's short and he's rich and that's funny. …see how it doesn't make sense out of context? I really love this book.
