About this deal

My career as a dog trainer began in 2004 when I was living in London and working as a freelance journalist. I came across a story about Bark Busters having trained a nervous Rottweiler that had previously been too scared to leave the house (his owner had to carry him down the road)! After the Bark Busters training, he was being walked happily to the park twice a day, and the owners were delighted! Once my Bark Busters residential training was over, I continued to work with Gemma and made speedy progress, nurturing her trust and confidence that I would keep her safe. We were able to start National Kennel Club Agility competitions, something I loved doing and ultimately Gemma gained the Agility Warrant Gold award; the highest award issued by the Kennel Club. Some clients want assistance with basic obedience and leash training. Others may have taught their dogs the basics but aren’t achieving consistent results. No matter the issue, we are here to help! So, what do you do? You've tried every solution that looks like it could make a difference. You've listened to friends and family, tried advice from your pet shop or vet, watched all the TV programmes and still your dog misbehaves. Sound familiar? That's where we come in. Hello, I'm Liz Johnson your local therapist for Bark Busters Home Dog Training Middlesbrough. I’ve been working with Bark Busters in your area for over 15 years.

All dogs need some form of training and education. Love is vital to the bond you and your dog share, but your dog won’t feel completely fulfilled without all the other elements of a strong relationship. At Bark Busters, we focus on behavioral training – teaching your dog proper behavior in each situation – via effective communication between humans and canines. Built on a foundation of respect and compassion, this approach allows us to keep our dogs safe and secure. Why Behavioral Training? My wife and I have had as many as eight dogs at one time, including rescues and two pups bought following research to be sure they came from genuine breeders. That is something recommended to anyone thinking of getting a puppy. Our rescue dogs brought their own issues, but Gemma in particular was a major challenge. Taken on as a 15-month-old working sheepdog, she did not have the best start in life, was naturally a nervous, timid girl, which caused her to be defensive using aggression to both strangers and other dogs to try to protect herself. She had never been house trained, so we had lots of accidents to begin with. We were making slow progress with her when I decided to study for my Diploma in Canine psychology accredited by the SFTR (National UK Therapists Register). I was pleased to achieve merit status and the knowledge gained helped me understand and help Gemma. Then soon after, a friend mentioned that there was a position available at Bark Busters in Warrington, having always wanting a career with dogs, they showed me how to achieve my wish. Joining Bark Busters was a perfect career choice for me. I have personal experience, qualifications, a good working knowledge all improved by the intensive Bark Busters residential training and continued development. Bark Busters "speak dog" in the sense that we effectively communicate with dogs in a way that they understand. Correct communication is essential to modifying dog behaviour so that your dog understands what behaviour is or isn't acceptable. Dogs don't want to misbehave they are just unclear of what you want from them.

Effective communication with your dog can be the key to success. At Bark Busters we have proven solutions for your dog's behaviour problems. Over the last 34 years, we've helped over 1 million dogs and their owners, turning good dogs into great dogs. I can also help you if you are thinking of getting a puppy or a rescue dog and would like to start as you mean to go on. Your training plan will be tailored to your needs and those of your dog. You will be prepared for potential future issues and know how to deal with them. Our puppy training is based on learning through play; it also gives you all you need to know about owning a happy, healthy puppy.

I speak from personal experience, having owned many dogs throughout my life, all of whom were challenging in various ways. Like you, I always wanted to do the best for my dogs, but sometimes I wasn’t sure how to go about it. There is so much confusing and conflicting advice out there that I wasn’t sure where best to turn. Once I was introduced to the Bark Busters method of dog training I realised that I had been making simple problems complicated, and that this easy, fast and effective approach was all that was needed to make the changes I needed. This means that we can dramatically improve your dog's behaviour by communicating with them in a way they understand. We teach you how to speak dog.

I have always had a customer service focus offering value for money, and this is something I am passionate about and to bring to my role as a Bark Busters dog trainer. My career had developed into a role as a lecturer in hospitality. This was a challenging and rewarding role where I learnt to recognise and respond to different learning styles and needs, when delivering training in new ideas and concepts. I love to watch people develop new skills and see the joy that this brings them. This carries through into dog training where, with patience and understanding, dog owners develop new skills and see the change in their dog’s behaviour. All the months and years of stress that they have experienced disappear once they learn how to communicate with their dog in a kind and consistent way, so that both dog and owner can relax and enjoy their life together.

Moments like these are frustrating and can be embarrassing, but they also put a strain on your loving relationship with your dog. You still love your dog, yet it's harder now. I have learnt so much about dogs and people during my time with Bark Busters and I enjoy passing on as much of my knowledge as possible to dog owners. It is so rewarding to see people who have been at their wits end take control of the situation and improve the bond they have between themselves and their dogs. I particularly love seeing them begin to enjoy their dog once more. Welcome to dog training Warrington, I'm Neil Price, your local dog behaviour therapist and trainer. If you are looking for dog training near you, then you've come to the right place. I can help you whatever problem(s) you are having with your dog’s behaviour. Very often we think our dog is not listening to us when, in fact, our dog is listening but the information we are giving is confusing. Our training programme is based on the principle that we need to communicate with dogs in a way they understand. We keep it simple and straightforward, clearing the way for you to have a better relationship with your best friend. No doubt that is the question you ask yourself when your dog misbehaves. For example, when your dog yanks on the lead, lunges towards other dogs or animals or maybe barking at the front door when the post is delivered, or delivery driver arrives.
