As a fan of the BBC AND of Crime stories, Luther seemed like a perfect match for me to add to my digital ‘to do’ list. Now it's been over a year since I've read it and sometimes, I'll remember something from it and I'm just like, "Someone bash my head in with a shovel, I can't go on living after this book.

This is my absolute favourite read this year - it has everything that I love in a book executed perfectly (to my taste). Giving us insight into these people’s heads means we are given insight into what motivates them, glean an understanding of what constitutes evil – either through action or because they don’t know how to do or be anything else. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. This isn't a light-hearted crime novel, and there is a lot of ugliness portrayed, not only of the main murderer, or even all of the criminals involved, but also of the police department and Luther himself.It's not the violence I dislike as I've read worse it's the arrogant mindset that the end justifies the means and that his views and objectives are the correct ones. Series five of Luther has been hotly anticipated and according to the BBC, fans are in for an explosive new series.

Is Luther based on a book and will there be another Luther movie after The Fallen Sun’s intense but enigmatic ending? I am not sure I can deal with the series getting any scarier than it already has been but you can bet that I missed it and will be watching from behind a cushion. On the other hand, his tempestuous means to an end approach often violates departmental ethics, creating considerable problems for himself, his colleagues, and his superiors. And then he spent the entire book, (and the series, let's be honest), using them to crush the readers' souls.

When the film starts he is behind bars thanks to David ensuring evidence of his misdeeds in his mission to secure justice are known. After *that* Luther: The Fallen Sun ending it’s perhaps no surprise that after asking themselves - is Luther based on a book? To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I highly recommend this novel and the series, yes it's on Netflix, add it to your watch list and get ready for an edge of your seat ride, you won't regret it! Sex is ok but the frequent, graphic and badly written soft porn descriptions were unnecessary and unreal.
