About this deal

Muy difícil manejar el poco contenido extra que contiene, por ejemplo el Picture in Picture se accede desde escenas de la película y en un cuadro pequeño de la pantalla (No se si se puede agrandar) mientras se sigue reproduciendo la película de fondo. Although it drops a couple special features, the new transfer and inclusion of the Extended TV Cut in 2160p make this new release Recommended! New artworks have been created for the Home Entertainment releases by graphic designer Sophie Bland, and for the 4K UHD Steelbook release by Francesco Francavilla.

Looks and sounds better than ever in this 4K release, keeping the film grain but enhancing the sharpness and brightness to reveal more detail, as well as the colours popping that bit more too…Dave. Bloated and long-winded as the movie may be, I rather enjoy Peter Jackson's King Kong, even in its 201-minute extended edition.Later, Kong and Darrow watch the sun set from the top of a mountain and she tells him it is beautiful as she taps her chest to convey how the beauty of it has touched her. The most effective aspect of this object-based codec is definitely in the front soundstage where those same discrete effects are better spread out, creating a highly-engaging half-dome wall of sound, from start to finish. King Kong is at the top of the film building and running off a fine execution that rarely cries for a check on the watch.

The Making of a Shot: The T-Rex Fight – Pretty much that, Jackson sets the stage for the scene with T-Rex and Kong. He turned this down, but was interested in remaking King Kong, which Universal also felt was worth pursuing. The film only received a 2K digital intermediate for its cinema release, and Universal’s 4K form book would suggest that an upscale of this has been used for the 4K Blu-ray rather than a new 4K scan being done from a 35mm print. There is a strong build up to the island, you get to know (and perhaps even care) about the characters and the first appearance of Kong is terrific. Not in terms of technical quality (I doubt any task would daunt him following that particular trilogy), but because someone still hasn't bought a pair of editing scissors. But with other big budget monster remakes (like Godzilla and Mighty Joe Young) in the works from other studios, Universal suddenly got cold feet about Kong and pulled the plug on it. Finding the right balance between open-eyed wonder and reflexive cautionary tale has long been a huge narrative difficulty for any adaptation of King Kong to achieve. Carl and Ann's new love, Jack Driscoll must travel through the jungle looking for Kong and Ann, whilst avoiding all sorts of creatures and beasts.

Of course, as with all tragic romances, fate intervenes -- Denham cares little for romance, only profit, and soon poor Kong is New York's new star attraction. As the ship prepares to sail -- a departure Carl has hurried along because his backers have already pulled the plug on his funding -- Driscoll (Adrien Brody) stops by to drop off the script. I'm not suggesting we go back to the era of latex puppets and bad matte paintings, but how about a bit more restraint? Displaying tremendous strength and determination, he fends them both off for a while one-handed; when she's knocked out of his hand, he catches her with his foot. But the power of Kong has always been that it is a fairy tale, a tragic fable of beauty that killed the beast. The rest of the features are spread across the Blu-ray version of the film and a separate Bonus Feature disc - and there are dozens of them, amounting to more than 13 hours of extra stuff when all’s said and done.
