The vodka needed to feel like a poster; a poster that paid homage to this fantastical and heroic story. The real Belka and Strelka, preserved via taxidermy, reside at the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow. This triple distilled vodka is made in Kazakhstan with the same heroic spirit as the brave space dogs. It is then filtered through carbon and silver to create one of the best tasting vodkas in the segment.

The rocket-shaped Belka-and-Strelka vodka jugs pictured were sculpted in the wake of their flight in the Russian village of Gzhel, a town outside Moscow that has been known for its folk ceramics since the early 19 th century. Although they may be dogs, these brave animals gave hope and inspiration to the future of mankind, they went to space and back in 1960 aboard Sputnik 5.Later, the two dogs’ puppies were given as a gift to the Kennedy family as a lighter point in the space race.
