About this deal

You are kind of right but there is actually quite alot wrong with using the remote gain as a "volume control" because this nor any gain control is NOT A VOLUME knob. and I dont want a million splitters and stuff I need to convert the headphone plug output from my computer to quad RCA since the amplifier takes two lefts and two right channels in RCA inputs and I have the amplifier in bridged mode for two subwoofers. Remember that excessive bass boost can lead to distortion or damage to speakers if not carefully managed. When you turn the knob clockwise, the bass level increases, and turning it counterclockwise decreases the bass output.

Until all recording studios use the same standards in their methods which probably includes the same monitors, room, etc, I wouldn't get tied up in a knot over trying to recreate what the studio sounds like. Some manufacturers offer universal remote bass control knobs that work with various amplifier brands, while others have proprietary knobs designed exclusively for their products. With the RUX-KNOB2 installed inside the vehicle cabin, easily adjust the bass gain of your amp while seated inside. If you are new to the hobby, you can subscribe, post and view our wiki for basic starting information.

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.You just need the "knob" which is actually a plug in inline volume control, and replace input TCAs with a single 3. One MS-WBC will 'act' on multiple amps which can be helpful when you've got subs and midbass (up to 160Hz) on multiple amps. Crazy to me that I didn't have this problem with my previous half-bridge amps but now I've tested two full-bridge with the issue.

Gain is not a volume knob, the fact that it is getting "louder" as you turn it up is because you are limiting the pre out volume. FYI if you happen to use the MS-Axxxx series amps the JBL MS-WBC is a wireless analog (as opposed to digital button/menu) bass control knob that offers the same shelf-filtering found in the MS8 but is much more convenient than working through the MS8 remote menu IMHO. For example, if you listen to a wide variety of music, you may want more bass when listening to Rap or Hip Hop and less bass when listening to Country or Heavy Metal.but i think for now if i tune it by ear and get it to where it seems like its not going any louder and set it would that be fine? Bass Controller - External bass controls (EBC), or remote bass controls (RBC), are a convenient and easy to install accessory that allows you to tune the bass in your music song by song. There's a thin line to be crossed, when the upgrades to your vehicle increase your chance to get tickets by an amount exponential enough to stop worrying and build the fastest, loudest car you can. Before permanently mounting the knob, test its placement in different positions while sitting in the driver's seat to find the most convenient spot.

Unless the amp has switches or internal jumpers, both inputs must be connected externally by splitter cable as described in the link. I used mine quite often in my ram build but that was a necessity due to the retention of the factory head unit and the lack of practicality of controlling bass via the ms8.All you have done by turning the gain up is allowed the head unit to become "louder" with less effort, but it does not increase the maximum output by any means, your gain should be set to match your head unit voltage pre outs, which is the point of maximum output before clipping, then leave it there. Is it something that is commonly used in addition to head unit subwoofer control and DSP or is it something that I do not need.
