This exceptional 10-year-old malt whiskey has been distilled in the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, having recieved its first grant to distil in 1608 Bushmills malt is a smooth, rich single malt with overtones of vanilla, honeyand sherry.

Next step is blending the whiskies, so several different malt whiskies are selected then blended together to find the right flavour. It uses a combination of peated and unpeated malt, which is triple distilled before being aged in mainly ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

Bushmills ten-year-old single malt is an approachable and elegant and Irish whiskey with an exceptionally smooth finish. It has a refined nose, with a light-bodied sweetness, tart apple notes and swathes of banana and smooth vanilla. Bushmills was the world’s very first licenced whiskey distillery, established in 1608 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and still drunk worldwide with a host of awards to their name. The nose is lightly fruity and spiced, but when it hits the palates it transforms to melted chocolate and releases a hint of honey with a clean finish.

Bushmills are always scored highly in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, with the 10 year old being awarded 92. The taste is melted chocolate that rests on the tongue before releasing a hint of honey in your cheeks. This one tastes more fruit heavy whereas the previous bottling was more creamy with a fruity topping.
