Description

Presents and dissects one of the most tragic events of the 20th Century in a dramatic insight into the Titanic's construction and fit-out, to its maiden voyage. It boasted libraries, palm trees, swimming pools, a 50-phone switchboard and was nearly as tall as the Eiffel Tower.

The book does a terrific job explaining the history behind it and all the other artifacts on board the Titanic that might have played a part in the sinking. Set sail and discover what happened when the "unsinkable" ship hit an iceberg with this picture-packed guide to the Titanic disaster. The 400-page account of those who survived the tragic sinking of the largest ocean liner of that time and the heroes and villains of that infamous night have been laid out for the reader to judge.

The Stanley Docks are impressive for their history and construction and our Superior Dockside Rooms offer stunning views of the docks.

I am a fan of books that recounts historical events, I've just finished Erik Larson The Devil in the White City, and I'm wondering if there is a similar book on the Titanic? Inside the pages of this children's educational book about the Titanic, you'll experience the tragic tale of the world's most famous ship.

The voyage was fatefully delayed for three weeks, and at least fifty travellers had forebodings about the ‘Ghost Ship’, some of whom missed the sailing or refused to board. Personally, I am not and have never been a sceptic, so I took everything I've read as if that was the absolute truth and had a great time. Could even a novella by Morgan Robertson named The Wreck of the Titan: Or, Futility have predicted the sinking of the ship?
