This assembled insert accommodates any standard bolt or screw (MIL-S-7742) and MIL-S8879 (UNJ controlled radius root) male threaded members. Each kit consists of the correct size drill, a tap, installation tool, tang removal tool and repair Helicoils, all in a plastic box. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Compatible with Recoil and Helicoil Kits these VCOIL Wire Thread Inserts are manufactured from high quality chromium nickel stainless steel, to aircraft and aerospace standards. Due to the narrow and exact tolerances, the newly repaired thread is stronger than the original one!
